I love this game.
I love the characters.
I love the weapons and all the different play-styles you can mess around with.
I love the unique cosmetics and effects you can get to make awesome loadouts.
I love the style of the game and all it's unique maps.

I love this game.


However, I cannot keep smiling and hoping that Value is going to just descend from the heavens and grant us the be all, end all, update that we've always wanted. Because it just isn't going to happen.
This game is dead and gone.

Valve has, and will continue to keep this game on life support until people decide to stop buying crates for that little dopamine hit that makes all the hundreds and thousands of dollars they spend worth it, because they got a shiny new hat, or a shiny new skin that they can then sell to make back... 10% of what they lost.

WAKE UP! It's over! The bots are rampant as always, the cheaters are continuing to permeate servers without any real push-back from Valve, which is probably why more and more of them are showing up, because Valve ISN'T DOING ANYTHING AND THEY KNOW IT!

I had hope that the whole #SaveTF2 thing was gonna be the boost this game needed, that Valve is gonna somehow prove us all wrong and genuinely do something.
Help with the bot problem in some way, release that Heavy update everyone's been talking about for so long, but no, nothing.

And colour me ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ surprised that when Valve did nothing, the community didn't seem to care, quite happy to get back to making the game work, despite Valves complete lack of intervention.

So now we're here, another #SaveTF2, only this time it's #SaveTF2again... what a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke.


You want Valve to do something?

Stop playing the game, stop buying keys and taunts and stuff that gives Valve money.
Because that's whats giving them the reason to leave the game the way it is, because you all keep spending money!

You keep playing! You keep preaching how bad it is, but continue to play the game anyway! You continue to participate in every event that Valve puts out, and open every case along with it!

You're not helping!! You're only escalating the problem!!

And before you think,
"Oh, but it I quit, if I stop, I'm letting the bots and cheaters win. I'm not fighting back if I quit"
We were never winning in the first place! They have already won!

So stop letting Valve get away with this, stop letting bad actors get away with another #SaveTF2 event for some clout, stop trying clinging to your hats and items like they're your children.

Stop playing.
Because the problems are only going to get worse and worse the longer Valve continues to ignore it.
And you're going to be just like me, waiting in queue for the 100th time because you've had to play in another bot/cheater filled lobby.

And to those with the concerns regarding,
"What if Valve shuts the game down? If nobody wants to play it any more, why keep it up?"
You are completely justified to be worried about this, and with that, I say,

Good.

If it's going to die, if it truly is going to have its plug pulled...
I'd rather it be now, than another 10 years, because it'll be far less painful for everyone that way.
