Extremely active Admins and Moderators on this server. We encourage good, harmonious, and helpful game play. Buildings are not allowed on major points of travel (no blocking the roads), lore locations, or spawn points to maintain the integrity of the game. Slaying of dragons expected ;-)
We do encourage growth and great builds! Server participation during purges (when they happen) is also encouraged. As well as exile trade.
What makes our server unique? Age of Exiles is a new RP-PVP server, where the main focus is the story and narrative… We also want your decisions to matter, define and shape your character of choice. We want players to feel fully immersed in the exiled lands, in their character’s shoes making life and death decisions. Shall I fight or run? Shall I yield and throw myself on the mercy of my pursuer? I could become a slave? or my story might end here? We want players to write their own stories together, roleplay their characters and decide their own fate in the world, but Overall and main focus is to have fun and tell a story together with the personalities we create and love.
Our Community
Every great story requires challenges to overcome, conflicts to resolve, dangers to navigate, setbacks to recover from, and victories to celebrate. Examine every great story and you will see that events don’t always go the Hero’s way. And in fact, it is the setback, challenges, and dangers that allow the Hero to rise to that next level of greatness. Translating that concept to an online game server demands a level of TRUST. You will encounter other players who will be your friends, lovers, rivals, or enemies. And in encountering them, things may not always go your way. Yet such diversions from what you expect or setback of your plans can provide the stuff of the greatest stories.
Regardless of your character’s role, plans, or schemes, always remember that you are part of a greater community of players with a shared interest in fun and creative storytelling. We encourage our players to trust and work together, even as enemies, to develop plot threads and conflict resolution that provides the most fun and interesting story developments. Due to the levels of danger we wish to maintain as part of the grittiness that is the Conan Universe, one of the outcomes of conflict resolution could certainly be Permadeath.
The concept of Permadeath in PVP has been a much-debated topic in the Conan Exiles roleplay community. Though not a guaranteed outcome, the possibility of Permadeath provides the maximum level of consequence to combat and roleplay that makes a character’s actions significant and meaningful – and therefore satisfying. It can be emotionally jolting to lose a character you’ve invested in through Permadeath and yet without the threat of it, your character might not have evolved to the level satisfaction that you’ve experienced to this point. If an end comes, make it a satisfying one. And know that as part of our Community, you’ll have an opportunity to tell new stories with a leg up in new character levels given for the time you have invested with us.
We highly encourage all players, new and seasoned, to familiarize themselves with the community at large, rather than stick with a particular group. To that end, our ruleset is designed to inspire players to seek out others in order to roleplay. Our wish is to provide a safe place for players to explore their creative ideas in an adult and gritty setting. Due to this you must be 18 years older in real life to join our Community due to the mature nature of our content.

Athenaeum RP is a server that strives to hold communal story-telling and exciting character conflict in perfect harmony. Our staff is a diverse group of players, from our Dungeon Masters who create content and server lore to conflict enthusiasts dedicated to finding balance between PvP & RP. Many members of the community are also fans of tabletop RPGs, so expect a high level of detail in the RP and the option of skill checks with the addition of the RP mod. The server offers an extensive lore section for information about races & gods, with new entries being added in the future. We want to bring a truly immersive experience to all those abandoned in these exiled lands.
We want to create the best staff/player relations. We hold personal accountability highly among every member of the community, with all rules being applicable to every player and staff member. On top of that, we offer transparency on all staff decisions against players and a specific member of staff whose entire job is to be the admins to the admins. Everyone is treated fair, just, and held to the same standard.
But the most important thing for us here is that everyone is able to do more of what we play this game for: roleplay. Our members of staff are always on the lookout for ways that we can keep you playing your characters without completely negating the challenge of the game. We don't want anyone to waste time doing things that take away from the fun.

PVE building server with purges (so build defensively) FRIENDLY and family-friendly server. Good community with mostly part-time players that help each other out when they are on.

Why MY server rather than other ones?
- Powerful hardware: Dedicated 6-core server with 64GB and 1TB SSD in Chicago, IL on dedicated 1 Gbps connection (1000 Mbps up and down)
What does all that amount to? About $200 a month. So, it's definitely better performing than someone's local server they run off their 100 mbps cable router.
- I've had servers since 2014 so longevity is assured.
- Auto-updates set for mods and game software so downtime and "mod mismatching" is very minimal.
- I have a discord where game updates, changes to the server, suggestions and chats are available. I consider ALL suggestions. Good suggestions get put to a vote.
- I run multiple types of game servers and have for years. I generally try to give the best experience I can for players that connect, but I also don't put up with errant players, trolls or griefers. I have a one-strike policy to keep the server non-toxic.
- I can be pinged on discord just about anytime (except when I'm asleep) for game issues or problems.
- I generally support (monetarily) most of the mods that I use on a regular basis like AoC, EEWA, Emberlight, etc. sometimes you'll even see custom items in those mods that the modders have graciously added with me in mind.
