Patch v. 1.34

Room Insert 01B, (variant without steps), no longers sticks through ceilings its placed on top of.

Fixed material costs for smooth battlements so that they now cost less stone.

Fixed icon for Curved Pillar Foundation.

The Drawbridge Gate should no longer report that it is a Fortress Gate.

All steps have been given the same placement range and height allotment as Castle Full Ceilings. Please keep me posted with any other pieces that are refusing to place at high levels.

Newly placed Royal Footchest pieces will have two new scepters inside. These are copies of the wooden club so they're just decorations I was working on. With these you'll look a tiny bit better knocking someone out than with the basic wooden club:) I'll likely be updating the meshes after the contest.

Wall Topper now works properly with the Gated Window.

Royal Armor Rack Statuary can now have a helmet assigned and comes with a metal helmet when created. You can also add a sword or metal pike and each one has its own poses. Each of those three options can be turned off from their appropriate menu. The helmet slot can be cloth, leather, chitin, fur or metal. I also fixed an issue so that the poses should now cycle back to the beginning instead of hanging on the last one. This coming week I will be adding shields, clubs and some more helmets as well as getting the poses sorted so they all work.

Fixed Wooden Club issue where crafting one would skin it with the new scepter.

Furniture, Fire based items except Chandeliers and deco items have been changed so they can now be picked up. Please be aware that anything with an inventory will drop it's items in a bag on the ground if you pick the container up!

NEW STRUCTURE: Curved Wall Topper
This piece is made to fit on top of Curved Castle Walls and provides a walkable surface for the top of the wall. The piece is designed so that the top left corner overlaps a slight amount to the inside. This allows you to see where you are snapping the topper, (from below), and identifies walls above that are covered.

Patch v 1.33

Pillar Foundation has had an extra collision box added. This new box is slightly lower than the primary one to hopefully stop dinos from falling through.

Sound has been removed from the Chandeliers. I fixed it from the generator sound but it still was too much with so many fires going at the same time so I removed it for now. If I can redo them to not be so intense I will readd the sounds at a later time.

Updated Fortress Gate with new collision to help with issues where dinos are walking through shut gates.

Rugs can no longer be placed right on top of one another. As they generally cause graphical glitches this was not an intended feature so there is now a distance check with only a small amount of overlap allowed.

CASTLE WELL
TWO PIECE STRUCTURE SET:
This is my first real two part structure set. That means there is functionality that only works when two separate pieces are present, in game, at the same time and snapped to one another. The first piece is the Castle Well. The Castle Well is now the stone bottom with the wooden roof. In order for this piece to function properly, you will need to create and attach the Well Crank. Thank you to iSpezz for the brainstorming session today in order to get around limitations on what I can do with the dev kit without making a total conversion. With this new part, the Castle Well can function like you'd think it should. Items can be inventoried into the Well to fill them with water, you can drink directly from it and irrigation pipes snapped to the Well will irrigate crops when used with a tap.

NEW STRUCTURE: Castle Well Crank
This item consists of the hand crank, shaft, rope and bucket that was previously a part of the Castle Well's model. Use the snap point on the Castle Well's vertical beams to ensure it is in the proper place. Once snapped the Castle Well will begin functioning properly.

NEW STRUCTURE: Small Chest
This small container is half the size of the footchest and matches its design. It has 25 inventory slots.

NEW STRUCTURE: Full Round Ceiling
This ceiling will snap to a curved wall and is made to cover the entire area made by four curved walls together. This is a blank variant that does not allow access to the roof.

NEW STRUCTURE: Full Round Ceiling w/Cutout
Same as the above ceiling but this variant has a cutout to use with the curved steps.

NEW STRUCTURES: Full Round Ceiling Gateway & Full Round Ceiling Gate
This Full Round variant is a pair of structures that function the same as the square ceiling gateway. The ceiling has two large metal reinforcement brackets that will show in the preview and indicate where the hinge of the gate will be once one is snapped in place.

Rotating Ceiling Hatchway now has similar metal plates to the Full Round Ceiling Gateway that indicate where the hinge is located.

Patch v. 1.32

Your castles should be looking a lot better after this patch. UV's of all the walls and entryways except for the half pieces should have much better aligned textures. This includes curved pieces and they will get one more pass after I sort the height issues of ceiling snaps.

Curved Tile Flooring is now hovering a little higher than the square version. This issue occurs where Castle Foundations meet up with Curved Foundations. I thought I had fixed that but forgot to take into account how high the ceilings were and that resulted in the flooring being hidden inside the ceilings. I reverted those changes until I get time to change the all of the ceiling snap points.

Large Bed has been changed to a new wood material. I wanted the new Royal Footchest to match the bed, (I hope to eventually have a whole bedroom set), and I went with a darker, more refined wood with a satin finish. Please give me some feedback on that if you don't like it or have another idea!

Fun Stuff: I've been working on a several different things that each had a few small details to finish and one that was broken entireIy. I got the broken item working and wanted to get all these decoration type items into one patch. Thank you to Sayya for the color ideas and crown feedback and thank you to iSpezz for the idea on how to fix my broken Armor Rack.

NEW STRUCTURE: Mystical Garden Decoration
This item is designed for the monarch who just needs a moment to ponder life's mysteries. Different patterns/colors can be switched for different effects. With engrams its under Misc/Decorations.

NEW STRUCTURE: Royal Armor Rack Statuary
This marble statue is of a man wearing a suit of metal armor. Each piece of the statue's armor, (besides helmet), can be changed between armor types like Chitin or Leather. The statue can also have its form changed by choosing another pose from the menu. The pose option advances through a list of predefined options. This item has an advanced menu. When you make a choice from the main menu of the item it closes. Simply open the menu again to see the next sub menu. This item is still a work in progress and will be getting more updates soon. I hope to get a helmet socket in the proper locations and the same for weapons as well as transferring your current gear and paint job to the statue. With engrams its under Misc/Decorations.

NEW STRUCTURE: Royal Footchest
This medium sized chest is made for your special valuables. Nothing really special come to mind? This chest comes filled with skins to express your royal side:

9 helmet skins:
Three crown skins for male character models. Each one has different gem stones and accents.
Three crown skins for female character models. These are the same with different colored hair on each one. Light brown, dark brown and charcoal.
Three skins for those who wish to rule their kingdoms with fear and intimidation.
(coming soon 2 weapon skins for a scepter)
With engrams its under Misc/Furniture/Wood.

Patch v. 1.31

Most straight walls have new destruction meshes created by UE. They're cheap but much better than the vanilla fillers I was using. More to come when I have time. Some pieces will likely never have them, though, as with some testing I found the size was far too large for complex pieces like the columns and balcony, twice as big as the largest texture I have which is nearly ten times larger than the smaller items.

Cut down some texture sizes that were unnecessarily large.

New dev kit binaries were released. This patch is primarily about bringing the mod up to date in order to fix issues like engrams not being able to be overriden.

NEW STRUCTURE: Castle Extras Box
This new box is going to have the items I am currently working on. These items are not ready for general use but I wanted to leave them in for people to check out so I can get feedback from curious players.

Update: Feb 14, 2016 @ 7:23am

Patch v. 1.30

Fixed Long Bridge - Plain so it works on higher than flat ground.

Added new blocks to the Wooden Trapdoor that rest on top of the ceiling. While using the ladder, positioning yourself so that you are looking at one of the blocks allows the Trapdoor Menu to be opened.
http://i.imgur.com/uYLY27d.jpg

All fire producing pieces in my mod that are part of the CCS now show inventory/put out fire as the default option so hopefully no more accidental material changes.

Those same pieces are also now capable of having a pin code set to lock them up when placed away from your base.

Stained-Glass (Blocked Arch) now has the same safety menu as the double columns to cut down on accidental color changes.

Fixed Stained Glass Rose Window so that the window is now centered instead of offset.

Gated Window redesigned so that the opening is taller and wider. It felt too small before so I went big. Please let me know in the feedback thread if you dislike the new design versus the old one. Thanks!

Fixed engrams so that only the two workstations show up in the player's engram list for crafting.

Castle Drawbridge, Massive Gateway and the two Long Bridges have been updated to use the new wall texture and can still be dyed. The old Bridge was given the new texture but it is turned sideways. Since that piece has been nothing but problems I still thought I should leave it in the mod, but maya will no longer open that file to rotate the uvs of the legs. Leaving it that way to get rid of the old material to save space in the mod.

The drawbridge's mesh was slightly altered as well to allow the gate rest to be almost as tall as a resting gate. This height difference helps to keep players from getting stuck on the gate when entering the castle.

NEW STRUCTURE: Curved Pillar Foundation
Second verse, same as the first.

Update: Feb 7, 2016 @ 10:18am

Patch v. 1.29

Full Width Steps, Single Steps, Curved Steps and Large Corner Steps can now be dyed.

Added in half height snap points that allow the curved foundation to snap low on the Castle Foundation.

Removed OLD Bridge snaps for foundations that were keeping them from snapping together properly.

Pillar Foundation has revamped collision to help with dinos falling through.

Massive Gateway has been fixed so that it no longer attempts to turn after snapping.

NEW STRUCTURE: Half Height Curved Wall
This item will snap to Curved Foundations and will allow Curved Castle Walls to snap on top.
There currently aren't any curved steps so this piece is only for those in need of a Curved Foundation's half height snap.

NEW STRUCTURE: 3/4 Single Component Flooring Tile
Made to work with the Castle Ceiling (Three Quarters)

NEW STRUCTURE: Long Bridge - Plain
This piece is designed to replace the Bridge already in the mod. It is longer, (as long as two Castle Foundations), and Foundations and other Long Bridge pieces will snap to it.

NEW STRUCTURES: Long Bridge Corner
This corner piece can allow for a 90 degree turn in either direction. If you place yourself to one side or the other on top of the piece you want this to snap to, you can change which direction this piece turns towards. This piece will snap to Long Bridges, themselves and foundations.

Update: Jan 31, 2016 @ 8:40am

Patch v. 1.28

All previously dyeable structures have now been updated with the new wall texture.
UV remapping will come in the next week or two to get everything lined up nicely.

Stained-Glass Blocked Arch's window is better aligned to the center. Sorry Rose Window, not enough time this week.

The Massive Gateway, Drawbridge, Bridge and all other block wall textures can now be dyed. Those three mentioned items will likely have to wait until 1.29 to get a new texture like the Castle Walls.

Updated Tuscan and Fluted columns with new test menu. The default option does nothing if clicked and when looking at the structure it says, Open Menu To Change Material. Material can be changed as normal from inside the radial menu. Hopefully this will cut down on accidental material changes on these items. Other CCS items will be added and updated here as I get them finished.

Curved Flooring piece now lays flat on the ground and is even with the tile that goes on Castle Foundations.

Fixed the material requirements for the metal fire makers in my mod. You no longer need metal ingots and now all five pieces use metal ore and the amounts have been fixed to better reflect size.

The test box has been updated. Items are where they should be, with new items in this patch coming at the very bottom.

Updated mod logo pic with something you can actually create.

Kingodm Map is placeable again. All functions have been removed from this piece except toggle grid and toggle torches.

NEW STRUCTURES: Flush Mount Chandelier and Hanging Chandelier
These chandeliers are always on. I was unable to get ten separate fires to work correctly with the radial menu and even with a custom menu so I have decided to release them as is. These items will deploy with all fires burning and do not require fuel. One version has a very short chain and looks better in a one wall high room. The Hanging version has a 6 foot long chain to make it work better in open spaces. Each one will snap to the ceiling above you, but you may need to jump or ride a dino to keep them from trying to snap to the floor below as the wall heights in my mod are rather tall. These are not part of the CCS.

NEW STRUCTURE : Castle Room Insert 01 B
This variant has had the stairs removed and is a solid platform.

NEW STRUCTURE: Smooth Curved Battlement
This is a variant of the Curved Battlement that lacks crenelations on top. Smooth Curved Battlement w/Cutout coming next week.

Update: Jan 24, 2016 @ 4:02pm

Patch v.1.27
Temporarily removed Kingdom Maps. The last server patch broke them since my last update and they are causing major issues.

Update: Jan 24, 2016 @ 9:31am

Patch v.1.26

Castle Wall and Curved Castle Walls have had a major update to their materials. I'm still learning about the many parts of this system and this will be my first attempt at proper bump mapping.

Foundation material has been changed to be a lot less reflective.

The Castle Foundation, Curved Castle Foundation, Wall Foundation and Pillar Foundation are now dyeable.

Curved Foundation has had its material costs reduced to be in line with other foundation costs.

Straight Gated Window has had a collision update so that projectiles can be shot through the bars.

The Stained-Glass Rose Window has had its material costs changed to the same as the Blocked Arch Stained-Glass window.

Items like Large Bed and the fire implements can now be stacked like other items in my mod instead of just three per stack.

Updated the item icons for several structures.

Reduced material costs for the Half Height Castle Wall to half of the regular Castle Wall.

Fixed material costs for the Castle Wooden Door so that it no longer needs stone to craft.

Restructured engrams so that all curved pieces now have a base directory instead of being inside the Walls directory.

NEW STRUCTURE : Curved Flooring Tile
Single component tile that is intended for Curved Foundations and Quarter Ceilings.

NEW STRUCTURES : Single Tuscan Column and Single Fluted Column
These columns have a stone header and consist of a single column that is placeable on any structure or the ground. They can be rotated after placing and are part of the CCS.

NEW STRUCTURE: ARK Vanilla Wall Foundation
I duplicated the stone fence foundation, changed the mesh and made it so that it can be placed anywhere. Its a little tricky getting them lined up straight without snap points on the floor, but its another step closer to getting my mod's structures to place nicely with vanilla Ark structures.

Update: Jan 17, 2016 @ 11:00am

Patch v. 1.24

All straight walls, curved walls and battlements can now be dyed. All entryways with the exception of the Drawbridge and Massive Gateway can also be dyed. The actual steps parts of both Fortress Steps can now be dyed as well. Foundation material likely to be added to dyable list next patch.

Temporarily removed the addon blocks from hatchways while I redesign them. I found a few instances that were keeping people from using the hole because of the collision.

Fixed folder path for sconces so they are now back with the other fire makers under Accessories>>Fire when using the portable workstation.

Tweaked several ceiling snap points for better alignment.

Fixed material costs for the curved quarter ceilings. No more stone required!

NEW STRUCTURE: Curved Quarter-Ceiling with Hatchway
Snaps to curved walls and will allow a hatchway to be snapped to allow ladder use.

NEW STRUCTURE: Kingdom Map
This new piece of furnture displays a large map of The Island. Two included standing sconces can be activated on this piece for free through the radial menu.
Functionality in this item not explained here can be labeled Coming Soon:)
