I have a question : I think im trying ark devkit and i was interesting if you are agree to share your source files to modify textures about floor, wall and stair. I dont want to keep alive any mod because i have no pretention for that, neither time... just trying to change some textures in mod.
But i dont know if it is possible....

@techrep50 : It is true, this mod is for huge building but you can use it with the character and you can mix with others mods.
This is what i did but you have to know that snapoints from Adv.Arch. is not aligned with all other snapoints from other mod. So you have to compose with this. I put some links from my buildings with this mod ( sorry for the link length.. )

It was a cool mod but it is old. My mod list is about 37 mods and this one is always in it .

Tried this on my local stand alone. While I only took a quick look, it is unusable for me. One foundation is about 9 times the size of a stone or keep foundation. Same with the walls. You can put stone or keep foundations on these and it will place. it fits into the foundation, not on top of. From the little I looked at this, it is nice but snap points are not compatible with S+ or keep and the scale is way too large...It would be like jack and the beanstalk up where he meets the giant.. your character would look so small and I presume would not be able to climb stairs as they would be too high to climb...

When i joined a server and started to download the mod, it downloaded up to 93MB then stopped. After it stopped it just had the green disk line at the top of downloads.

A shame, this is one of the first mods we ever used on ARK and we've stuck with it ever since. Always including it even besides the new castle keeps and S+ etc. Hopefully it will continue working as is.

Hello, after the latest patch 271.22 I can unfortunately no longer load the Mod in the game and thus use. It would be nice if this can be fixed, since it is a super mod !!! Thanks in advance.

ok the reason mods are getting abandoned is because the devs have not updated the dev kit source code is out of date (was out of date shortly after scorched earth came out) for modders to continue modding as it is out of date the mods are haveing issues with compatibility with the current state of the game alot of popular mods and modders are running into this same issue

Wish modders who abandoned their stuff would atleast let someone else take it over, obviously with credit where credit is due. Shame this mod is abandoned, was a great one.....Hey the brightside though, atleast he didnt completely remove it from the workshop like a few other modders have done, and totally screw over the people who use it.

Is there any chance of you opening the source of this mod? I and others in my gaming clan have a vested interest in this mod remaining viable, and have several improvements in mind we'd like to implement, even if we had to change the name and make it a separate mod.

Like the look of the Castle Foundation, kind of a classic roman theme, would love to see a wall texture that matches the same look.
Also a ramp the size of a behmoth gate in the same style, woof be cool, and being able to turn them to go on differnt angles would be great.
On a side note, I am using the landscaping blocks (cobble stone) and this mod, and they really work well togeather, and give you a sense of style for cool base options

awsome mod :) i have placed the mega gateway and placed the maega drawbridge gate. On the outside there is the handle to operate the drawbridge but on the inside of the mega gateway there is only a gear looking thing where it looks like a handle belongs. Not able to close drawbridge from the inisde.

I have been useing this mod for several months and know how it works prety well. Then today I had a Dino destroy a section of the castle. Normaly this is no big deal I can just make the new pices and replace them. But today I put down a new foundation and started to put the building back together and for some reason the castle doorway will not place. It has an error "Can't Place Castle Doorway: Is Obstructed". I also tried the Castle Fortrace Gateway and it will not place eather. I have a wall placed close by so I looked up and it will allow for placement of the doorway on top of the wall. So I am not sure what happend but something broke..... Can you please check this out because untill its fixed I can not put my place back together again...

@EHUDPOWER: There isn't a way to extend those. When I first made them I made the post as high as the vanilla game would allow me to build. While the mod will let you use them in such a manner I would recommend rethinking your design as anything connected to one that is floating will also be destroyed if that original piece is removed.

@heatherc191: Are there already placed battlements on those walls? Are you saying you go to place the item and its telling you "No snap point" or you just can't find one? The battlements can cause issues where it doesn't appear to have any snaps on the ceiling and not having a foundation underneath can also cause these issues.

@LethalAffliction: Not sure on that one. There is an upper limit to walls placement but a foundation that is too deep into the ground can break that code as well. I took the wall foundations out because I was never able to get the game to play nicely when it came to foundation checks.

@Kalliope: I deleted your other post here as I answered in the other thread. I was able to create multiple characters and learn the engrams so I need someone else to verify that issue as I'm not seeing an issue. I will likely be updating this mod in the next couple of weeks. I have a few changes to make to some of the UV's that are bad and am just slammed for time at the moment.

@hogscraper all of them, both pillar and normal. most noticeable when you build big, like 9 wall heights is usually when things get wonky. I would have an example but the server has wiped on me twice lol.

Collision is set to ignore the ground and rocks so they can be partially placed inside them. That's why you shouldn't ever get "is obstructed" messages. Anything about "can't place here" is the game breaking because the item center is too low compared to the ground. With massive pieces the game seems to want to use the bottom of the map for its distance check instead of the landscape and it fails. The alternative was forcing the bottom of the foundations to be placed on the ground at all times.

@LethalAffliction: What foundations are causing that?
