Patch v.1.44

Since The Center map was added to official mods I added that map to the Large Table Map.

Added longer Delays to the Armory Statue and both Modular pieces in an attempt to get the saved data loaded correctly. Testing is showing that still isn't enough. I will be working on something that can update all of your modular pieces in a certain range as its looking like the game will not update them when the server loads.

I believe all walls, foundations, ceilings and battlements are working under the pickup system. Please let me know if I missed something!

Daises are fixed and no longer show the infocenter menu. They now have the generic menu I've added to other pieces that can be picked up.

Snap points have had a major overhaul with the walls and ceilings. The straight pieces and curved pieces have been revamped to make better looking transitions between the two. I did the snaps so that pieces already placed would not be altered, (some gaps would have occurred), and the changes will take place with newly placed pieces. This might be a hard transition for those playing by themselves on live servers but its for the overall betterment of the mod. Over the next few weeks my time will be focusing on getting everything up to a higher standard of functionality now that most of the base pieces are finished.

Update: May 15, 2016 @ 3:16pm

Patch v.1.43

Armor Rack Statuary now cycles materials properly and helmet removal works again. I will be testing this piece for saving this coming week and will fix whatever else is wrong with it then.

Wall Barricades can now be dyed and no longer report more dyable regions than they actually have.

All Foundation pieces have an added menu that should keep them from accidently being picked up. Castle Wall has been added but the rest of the walls will be added this week.

Outside Corner Battlements have steps like the straight ones and have had their collision tweaked slightly.

Straight and Outside Corner battlements can now be flipped around while placing, but please note, the straight ones are slightly off when placed on a backwards wall and flipped around. As I work towards getting these in a much better, usable condition the affected battlements can all be picked up to be replaced. This was done specifically because on backwards placed walls, you sometimes have to place the battlement so that the preview looks backwards and it flips itself after placing.

NEW STRUCTURE: Square Rug
Designed to fit inside one foundation with walls on every side. The rug has The Lady and the Unicorn tapestry as its design.

Update: May 8, 2016 @ 9:25am

Patch v.1.42

Steps have all been changed to have the same damage resistance as the walls and foundations.

NEW STRUCTURES: ALT Curved Battlement w/Cutout & Smooth Variant
These variants are made to work with the Curved Steps (Left Start).

Added two small steps to each of the straight battlements as a test to see what will work in getting players the ability to finally look over the battlements.

Fixed the collision on Straight Crenelated Battlement so you can stand between or shoot between the crenels. Also fixed collision on all curved battlements so they should no longer block movement and will allow shooting/standing between the crenels as well.

Fixed costs of the full round ceilings to be in line with the other ceilings. Also increased the xp of those items to the same ratios.

Inserts now have an extra snap that allows them to be rotated to 90 or 270 degrees. Both inserts can now be snapped on top of each other and will come flush to any surrounding ceilings.

Floorings that use the light colored Granite material can now be dyed. I will be adding the wood material this coming week.

NEW STRUCTURE: Modular Railing System
This railing can be placed on foundations or ceilings, (on ceilings it can be tricky to get the correct snap). You can change the model so that the railing will cover the entire width of a ceiling when running more than one wide, a slightly less wide version that works well in a 1x1 setup and a third option that works with the 3/4 ceiling.

NEW STRUCTURE: Full Round Ceiling w/Circle Cutout
NEW STRUCTURE: Full Round Ceiling w/Circle Cutout Offset
These two new ceilings are full round in size and have round cutouts for use with the Spiral Staircase.

NEW STRUCTURE: Full Castle Ceiling w/Circle Cutout
1x1 square ceiling with the centered, round cutout for use with the Spiral Steps.

NEW STRUCTURE: Smooth Curved Battlement w/Cutout
This battlement is the same as the other curved battlement w/cutout but it lacks the crenelations on the wall.

The beginning of pickups via ini has started. Structures can be picked up if you make an addition to your gameusersettings.ini. This change will not affect your server unless you manually add

[hogscraper]
AAM_Allow_Pickups=1

to the bottom of your gameusersettings.ini. Pieces will be added here as I get them finished.
Currently finished:
All Foundations
All Straight Walls
Stone Balcony

I removed Wall Foundations from the engrams list. They can be spawned by admins and the ones you have already placed will remain. They will stay removed until I can find a way to keep them from breaking everything placed on them.

Update: Apr 24, 2016 @ 4:19pm

Patch v.1.41

Massive Round Stained-Glass Window now remembers your choices and reloads them on server restart. Options for individual panels has been removed until next week. You can cycle all colors or randomize the window.

Castle Well and Crank can now be placed on boats.

Both workstations can now be pin coded for security. The Portable Workstation has been renamed to Alternate Engineer's Workstation.

Her Royal Majesty crown now has a dyeable variation in the Royal Footchest.

NEW STRUCTURE: Garden Pool Foundation
This foundation is the same as the Castle Foundation with a reflecting pool in the center. The water is not drinkable or swimmable. Walls can be placed around this foundation as normal.

NEW STRUCTURE: Mega Double Gate
This double gate is made to snap into the Mega Gateway as an alternative to the Mega Drawbridge Gate. This double gate will only swing outward. This gate has a slight issue where one side swings in further than the other. I will be trying to get this fixed tonight.

NEW STRUCTURE: Modular Column System
This new wall has five columns. The columns can be cycled through Tuscan, Fluted or Block style and can be turned off, (you must have one column active). There are also multiple lattice pieces that can be placed between the columns through the Use menu.

Renamed Steps(Curved) to Curved Steps (Right Start).

NEW STRUCTURE: Curved Steps (Left Start)
Similar to the original curved steps but they go up the opposite direction.

NEW STRUCTURE: ALT Quarter Curved w/Cutout
This new ceiling is made to go with the Curved Steps (Left Start)

Gated Castle Wall now has proper collision. That means you can shoot bullets/arrows between the bars!

Large Table Map no longer has a name written on it. I was testing a texture layer and forgot to delete it before I released the piece.

Royal Armor Rack Statuary now remembers what armor/weapon/material/pose you choose after a server restart. There are still some LOD issues where the statue appears Marble from certain distances but I can't seem to remove that. I will update this when I get that fixed.

Full Castle Ceilings have a menu option to flip the material the other direction. I will add this option to the other ceilings after some testing to make sure changes are saved.

Small Ornate Picture Frame will now remember your choices.

Daises no longer give Infocenters when picked up. I promise to one day stop letting that one get by me every week...

UV re-alignments are coming along well. Most pieces are done with this pass and are looking much better next to each other.

Update: Apr 17, 2016 @ 5:05pm

Patch v.1.40

Curved Wood Flooring can now be flipped so it lays correctly on Pillar Foundations.

NEW STRUCTURES:
Dais - Narrow Round
Dais - Square Single
Dais - Square Double
These three new pieces were made to place a throne upon. They are the same, nicer wood as the bedroom furniture. The square ones have a carpet runner up the middle of the piece that comes white but can be dyed with a paintbrush.

NEW STRUCTURE: Massive Round Stained-Glass Window
This window is as large as a Massive Gateway and is part of the CCS. You can randomize the colors in the panels, make them all the same or change each section to a different color. The wall can be dyed but the stone surround cannot.

Update: Apr 10, 2016 @ 4:05pm

Patch v1.39

NEW STRUCTURE: Curved Tuscan Columns
Functionally the same as the straight columns but designed to work with curved foundations.

NEW STRUCTURE: Curved Fluted Columns
Functionally the same as the straight columns but designed to work with curved foundations.

All columns can now have their tops dyed. Square column can be entirely dyed.

Infocenter no longer gives a Table Map when picked up.

Royal Armor Rack Statue can now have the material cycled through 18 stone/metal materials. I found another issue with this piece that
is keeping it from loading correctly after server restart. When you change it afterwards it reverts.

Picture Frames can now be picked up.

Castle Wooden Door, Castle Doorway Gate and Massive Gate now all swing away from the frame instead of into it when opening.

Ceilings no longer report more than one dyable area.

All castle roofs are dyable, finally. I didn't realize that the wood was breaking the slate so they both dye at the same time now.

Entryways and windows are now completely dyed at the same time.

Update: Mar 31, 2016 @ 6:06pm

Patch v1.38

Chandeliers should now auto-activate when spawned, in all situations.

Fixed Castle Chair so that it no longer gives a Throne when picked up.

All structures using the Castle Ceiling Full material can now be dyed.

All structures using the Roof slate material can now be dyed.

Picture frames are here! Each of these pieces allow you to paint a picture on the canvas, but each one has a menu where you can change from the blank, (or painted on), canvas and cycle through multiple pieces of art. The classic frames are more ornate than the plain frames and have a portrait shape compared to the landscape orientation of the plain frames. The classic and plain frames come with separate pieces of art due to the different aspect ratio. On top of the painting choices you can also cycle the frame itself between several different materials to complement the look of your art. The plain frame has been removed from crafting for now. It is currently in the admin box until I can sort a few of the issues it has. It works, but you need to dye the canvas before paint will work properly.

One caveat for these items, because of limitations in the system, when you paint, it will use the vanilla painting canvas as its template and the in game canvas as well. This means you will need to play around with the edges of the canvas you are shown, (while painting), and see where the edges will be on my picture frame. I don't know if there is another way to pull these types of items off, but after 40+ hours of trying to get this to work, this seems like the only thing that works.

NEW STRUCTURE: Classic Picture Frame (small)
NEW STRUCTURE: Classic Picture Frame (large)

NEW STRUCTURE: Castle Infocenter
The infocenter is designed to bring you closer to information you might need while playing the game. There are radial menu options to display the previous week's patch notes, current notes, any news about the mod and you can quickly get to the official ark website as well as this mod's wiki through the steam browser.

Update: Mar 20, 2016 @ 4:12pm

Patch v1.37

Fixed the Blocked Arch stained glass window so that the glass pieces properly cycle through the window menu.

Fixed the end to end snap point that was missing on the Long Bridge.

Tweaked the Curved Cutout Battlement so that it can be used with the Quarter Ceiling w/Hatchway. Already placed battlements will not need to be replaced but the Curved Cutout Ceiling is now offset from those battlements. I left them like that for more surface space but will change the ceiling as well if people do not like it.

NEW STRUCTURE: Mega Gateway
This gateway has the maximum opening I could make that would span two foundations wide. Currently it will take the Mega Drawbridge Gate.

NEW STRUCTURE: Mega Drawbridge Gate
This large gate comes with a gate rest that will line up three foundations away from the foundation the Mega Gateway is snapped to.

NEW STRUCTURE: Curved Wood Flooring
This flooring is matches the regular wood flooring and is designed to snap to Curved Foundations and Curved Quarter Round Ceilings.

NEW STRUCTURE: Long Bridge Doublewide
This bridge is the same length as the Long Bridge but it will span two Castle Foundations instead of one. This piece does not currently have the proper snap points for walls. It will snap to foundations and itself and both can snap to the end of this piece.

NEW STRUCTURE: Curved Roof Full (Short)
This new roof is designed to fully cover a round tower, (one made with four connected Curved Castle Walls), and is the same height as the straight roof pieces.

NEW STRUCTURE: Curved Roof Full (Tall)
Same diameter as the short version.

http://i.imgur.com/j2i6lJc.jpg
(here are the two curved roofs for comparison)

NEW ITEM: Castle Chair 01
This is the base of the Rising Star Throne with most of the metal accents removed and a shorter, plain back.

NEW ITEM: Kingdom Map Table
This massive, rectangular table has a large map of The Island in the center. It has a radial menu with options to change the map shown. You can cycle between a 'realistic' version, the in game map of The Island, a topographical version for decoration and the in game map for Valhalla.

Update: Mar 14, 2016 @ 4:09pm

Patch v1.36

The Long Bridge - Plain now has snaps for walls on both sides. Because of a slight size difference there are small cracks where the side walls would meet with side walls attached on an adjacent Castle Foundation. Putting a castle entryway at the start of the bridge instead of on the foundation will help to close those gaps up a little.

NINE NEW STRUCTURES:
Castle Roofs are finally starting to make their way into my mod! I wanted to talk about the design for a moment. I tried both staggered tiles, (like what you see in the below pictures), and even tiles where the gaps all lined up. The up side to the staggered gaps is that it looks way better but the downside is that it requires tabs out of one side of each center piece. These tabs need to stick out to cover the staggered bits on the next piece over. This presents a problem for coners were the tabs would stick out in an ugly fashion. I decided to make those corner pieces two foundations wide and incorporate the modified straight pieces I needed instead of making another additional piece.
The Outside Corners must be placed on the second to last wall in the row like this,
http://imgur.com/a6oHZdd

and inside corners extend inward a full castle foundation like this:
http://i.imgur.com/qEvtXe6.jpg

The smallest base you can cover with these pieces is a 1x2, with 2 Straight Single Roof Pieces and 4 Sloped Castle Walls:
http://i.imgur.com/44ADkdH.jpg

I wanted to get that info out there as planning with such large pieces is mandatory to not run into situations where there isn't a piece to complete your roof.

Sloped Castle Wall:
This wall does not have any snaps to it and is intended to bridge the gap between the top of a Castle Wall and the sloped edge of a roof piece. Works best with the Straight Left End or Straight Right End.

Castle Roof - Straight Left End
Castle Roof - Straight Right End
These two roofs are one Castle Wall wide and will provide a nice flat end to your roof. The directions are based on being on the outside of your castle looking up at the row of roofing.

Castle Roof - Straight Center
This piece is designed to attach on top of any wall that has walls on both sides, (not at the end of a row of walls), and acts as the main piece you will use for long runs of roofing. It has large tabs that stick out of one side and recesses on the other side.

Castle Roof - Straight Single
This piece is one Castle Wall wide and both sides are smooth for a single wide roof setup.

Castle Roof - Inside Corner Left
Castle Roof - Inside Corner Right
Castle Roof - Outside Corner Left
Castle Roof - Outside Corner Right

Update: Mar 6, 2016 @ 2:17pm

Patch v. 1.35
Hotfix for Massive Gate going into stasis when it shouldn't be.
