Submitted a new build. Equivalent to nightly r2286.

Main changes since the previous r2279 build are:

— Attempt to fix save game corruption by doing the following:
  • Create new party template for volunteers.
  • Instead of removing an empty volunteer party, keep using the same one.
  • Create unhirable 'header' troop for volunteers & player reserves (garrison)
    so that these parties are never empty.
  • Create script_remove_party and replace all instances of (remove_party) operation with
    this script. This makes sure that static parties are not removed, but disabled.
  • New dormant party system to reuse parties instead of removing them.
    Currently only for prisoner trains and routed parties.
  • Use a static party instead of creating fake ones to check terrain.
— Fix Beorning economy.
— Optimized Dale scene (by InVain).
— New regions: Dimril Dale & Southern Erebor (by InVain).
— New ambience scenes (by InVain).
— Make fallen rider text optional.
— Fix scout camp quest, again.
— Fix hold command for archers.

EDIT: This update also adds cuddly Mordor bunnies.

Submitted a new build. Equivalent to nightly r2279.

Main changes since the previous r2273 build are:

— Fix issue with routing.
— When Destroy X parties quest is active, target parties will spawn until player completes the quest.
— Slow down the trolls for both troll quests.
— Use a Warband operation to check valid terrain, instead of the fancy method from M&B 1.011.
— Add dialogue fixes for player initiated sieges.
— Changes to Lord Spawning after being defeated:
  • Instead of spawning after 24 hours and with 15 bodyguards,
   spawn lords after 2 days and reinforce them to be able to handle patrols
— Reduce wait time during sieges before Lords assault a center.
— High Level archers will ask archer team to hold fire in the beginning of battle when they
  deem that the enemy is too far away to hit. Player can override and tell them to fire at will.
— Add code to make party cleanup more robust.
— The plural form of Nazgûl is Nazgûl.

Submitted a new build. Equivalent to nightly r2273.

Main changes since the previous r2260 build are:

— Hotfix for Raid Village quest (your troops shouldn't attack you anymore).
— Player initiated siege consequences:
  • When you fail, you lose your right to siege again until you
    pay the same price + you get demoted!
  • Fix for «Player Faction» when winning.
  • Evil men and orcs/uruk dialogue.
— Field AI Improvements: Horse archers use bows, Lancers use lances...
  • Swap to backup weapon when enemy comes too close.
— Fix too many town walkers in Caras Galadhorn.
— Fix Cair Andros menu.
— Fix Raid/Defend/Scout Camp quests when it expires.
— Add descriptions + XP when visiting legendary places:
  • Credit goes to @paulmurray46 for writing that flowery text.
— Improved Routing + Fleeing behavior for Wargs and low morale troops
  • This change is Warband only, as it uses operations not in M&B 1.011.
— Oath of Vengeance kills reduced + extra day.

Submitted a new build. Equivalent to nightly r2260.

Main changes since the previous r2247 (posted last week) build are:

— Added updated 3.5 menu statue with new credits.
— Now the new font also works in DirectX7 mode, still used by some players.
— Balance changes:
  • Base probability to spawn parties daily have been increased by 10%.
  • Party limit multiplier has been increased by a varied amount.
   (This will lead to more parties being spawned for a more dynamic game)
  • Player-initiated siege ENABLED.
  • Influence cost of asking marshal to siege & player initiated siege has been reduced.
— New trait: Butcher.
— Major formations & AI update.
— Troll quest fix.
— More robust raid village center selection.
— In Vain's scene & guardian party fixes.

Main changes since the previous r2127 (posted in June, 2016) build are:

— Quests:
  • Optional starting quests unique to each faction:
    Goal: tutorialize rank, influence, and resource points.
  • Raid/Defend village:
    Goal: Pre-War quest.
  • Destroy scout camp.
    Goal: Post-War quest that has faction strength consequences.
  • Ring Hunters: Unique quest.
  • Refactored Oath of Vengeance quest: Troop kills instead of party kills.
  • Refactored Eliminate X Parties quest: Assists now count towards quest.

— Gondor Rebalance:
  • Gondor Reinforcement Event: Scripted AI behavior to make Gondor lords more active.
  • Added 2 more Gondor Lords.
  • Increased the amount of Gondor hosts.

— Scenes:
  • Fix the Siege doors, so that troops are properly attacking them.
  • Osgiliath ambient scene.
  • Fix some siege scenes (Osgiliath, Cair Andros, Dol Amroth, Ethring, Rhun camps).

Submitted a new build. Equivalent to nightly r2105.

Main changes since the previous r2080 build are:
Native Linux, Mac OS X and Android support, by adding OpenGL compatibility.
  • Reimplemented our custom HLSL (DirectX 9) shaders in GLSL 1.20.
  • Mac users will still have to remove our custom font due to Warband engine brokenness in that platform.

— Two new original game menu illustrations by Merlkir (Jan Pospíšil).
  • Troublesome bandits and Mound visit.
