Operation Hellhound

Description
[SP/COOP 1-10] Kenyan Defense Forces have been assigned clearing operations of Boko Haram cells from the Afrene and Molatian Regions of Isla Duala.

Although this is a traditional ALiVE insurgency mission, I've set this one up a bit differently. The map is broken up into sections, with Kenyan Defense Forces to the south and north. Your area of focus is the central zone with Boko Haram cells that need to be cleared. Boko Haram's area of operations has extremely few friendly groups in active battle, so expect to do the bulk of the fighting yourself. Your job is to patrol each town - I'd recommend starting on foot from your base - clear them however you see fit, reinforce them so they don't get taken back over, and then move onto the next town until the AO is clear. For a more in-depth analysis of what the bells and whistles of an ALiVE Insurgency entails, here is an excellent breakdown from the ALiVE wiki: http://alivemod.com/wiki/index.php/Insurgency

Although solo play is encouraged, the mission should ONLY BE run on a local hosted server. If you want to use a dedicated server, grab the PBO from the link below. Features include:

CAS and logistical support
The full suit of ALiVE features including suicide bombers, IED's and VBIED's
AI Recruitment
Helicopter and vehicle resupply triggers
Ambient civilian traffic
Intelligence on dead bodies
Zeus Game Master for Admins

Saving your progress: This mission uses a local saving feature, which is accessed in the esc menu and initiated by the "server save and exit" function. To continue your save, simply act as if you're starting the mission for the first time and your data will load automatically. To start your progress over, change the PBO name or execute "call ALiVE_fnc_ProfileNameSpaceClear" and then click "local exec" in the debug console.

@killer of kings Oh. Lol. I can’t be sure until I check, but I have a suspicion the civ isn’t actually invisible, but that Spyder Addon’s Civilian Interation option is just popping up when you look in the direction of a civ, even if he is far away/behind a wall/etc.

I believe the way Spyder set this up was for the option to pop up whenever the cursor is pointed at a civ, but unfortunately, I don’t think he has a distance check.

Nothing I can do about that. Do me a favor, next time you see this go into Zeus or don’t and just walk around a bit. If you see any civs in the mission at all, things are probably fine. If no civs whatsoever are spawning anywhere on the map, then yeah something is broken so let me know.

@HeroesandviliansOS Well what happens is when I got to play the senerio, no civs appear but it gives an option to talk to him. An invisble man

@killer of kings what do you mean? Can you give me a step by step for how to see this?

civillians are invisible

@Raven80 unfortunately I don’t do much flying in Arma. Occasionally I’ll transport myself somewhere in a chopper but I don’t do a lot of gunning so not sure I can help you with that.

@Heroes thik it was an IED, a powerful one. lately i was patrolling the town in the northwest section of the blue controlled territory (not the big central island) and i got hit by a IED hidden near a crossroad between houses; luckily i was driving an RG-31 so nobody was injured, but the MRAP was heavily damaged.
Just an offtopic question, did you play with attack helos (cobra, apache...) and if so, did you know a way to play as pilot and control the targeting pod? (searched about over the net with no joy)...the only chopper that allows you to do so is the Ka-50 wich is a single seater so it behaves like an attack plane...

Ha yeah avenge their death! :) I’ll take a peek at it though.

ok, thanks :) i will use mainly the air/heli deliver wich is more reliable.
anyway bug or not i'm gonna retaliate this massacre with extreme prejudice :steamhappy::steammocking:

Enemies could have launched an RPG at them too. I’ll take a look regardless though.

@Raven80 lol I’m not sure. Poor guys. I suppose it’s possible it was from an IED or VBIED, but tough to say. I’ll run a quick test later to make sure the convoy mechanics are at least working. Though that said, I never personally use the convoy option. When I use Logistics, I tend to use heli deliveries, or straight up air drops. Convoys take forever and due to AI driving they are unreliable at best. Either way I’ll check it out incase they’re blowing up on spawn.
