[ARY] Automatic Hunting [1.5]

Description
Arylice's Automatic Hunting
#arylice #aryah #qol

Tired of manually marking prey to hunt?
Have it automatic for free!
You look away for 5 minutes and notice that
your hunters are starving while there are plenty
of living prey around them?
No longer will it be a problem!

Automatic Hunting automatically marks potential animals
to hunt and will give your hunters the job to hunt
if there aren't enough meat in storage!

Here's how the automation works in any map:
  • Hunters must have a Work Priority to Hunt of any number.
  • Hunters must not be Drafted nor Downed.
  • Prey will be automatically marked to be hunted only if the hunters can reach them.
  • Prey must not have Scaria nor any Mental State.
  • There needs to be less than X[x.com] amount of allowed meat in storage.
  • The amount of allowed edible corpses on the ground needs to be less than
twice the amount of Colonists in the map.
  • Once every X[x.com] amount of hours, if possible,
animals will be marked as targets for hunters.
  • Every twice that X[x.com] amount of hours, if possible,
hunters will be given the job to hunt and attack. This includes bare fist hunters.
  • Pressing H (Misc2) + N (Misc4) = Disable / Enable Automatic Hunting while playing.
  • Custom settings are available!

The mod is safe to add and remove mid-save!

Maybe even filter by leather type as well, that could also be useful

Is it possible to filter viable targets based on their meat amount, similar to how we can can select a maximum revenge chance?

hollys There is a mod called Allow Dead Animals that should help with that.

Is it possible to add calculations on animal corpses you have stored? I have an abundance and they keep wanting to hunt. I just need to butcher them and I'll have the amount of meat that triggers the automatic hunt.

My hunters often don't pick up the animals because they are automatically marked with an X. Is there a way to change this?

Great mod! Two small comments:

A: I'd like there to be some sort of "ratio" control instead of a hard-start/stop threshold for meat to activate this feature, perhaps a slider that says "amount of prey to target" that scales the number of prey off the missing meat, so, say, a value of 1 would make the mod only target 1 animal per 10 meat below threshold, 0.5 would target 1 animal per 20 meat below, etc. IDK if I'm describing it correctly but I kinda want the mod to automatically target fewer animals when I have just under the threshold I set.

B: I'd like a toggle button for the mod in the bottom-right buttons. I know there's the shortcut and the mod options, but it would just fit more thematically to have a button toggle.

very helpful mod, just a quick suggestion:
I would appreciate a check for other raw foods and/or cooked meals. I currently have an over-abundance of food because I had 700 rice not being checked and several meals stocked that were also not being checked.
All-in-all, not a dealbreaker. Just means I set the check time for 60 hours and undo the marked animals if needed.
