this mod makes my game error every time it checks.

delete the config file is the point:Kurisu:
PushinThePainvelope Oct 16 @ 10:03pm
For people having trouble finding the XML file:

Open up a saved game, hit escape and go to options.

Hit open on the "Log file folder"

You can then search "ARY" in the search bar and it should show up for you to delete. Either that or find it in the config folder.

After this the mod options worked correctly for me. Good luck!

Seconding Shisk's assessment here. The xml file is not present. Will keep it just in case it gets fixed, but as of right now, the mod seems to be needless bloat.
Shisk Oct 7 @ 12:30pm
Option menu doesn't appear and the file path doesn't have Mod_ARY_AutomaticHunting_ARYAH_ModMain_DrawMenu.xml even after installing, restarting and unsubbing/resubbing
Snues Sep 27 @ 1:16am
This mod has got a permanent place in my modlist
BoxximusPrime Sep 13 @ 8:01am
I've noticed the key combinations to toggle only work sometimes. I solved this with my mod by creating a new gameobject when the mod loads, setting tit to do not destroy, then adding a component that's a super simple monobehavior that detects the input in the *update* game loop. If you check for the key combinations in anything else other than update like FixedUpdate, the key presses don't register sometimes. If you want some code samples, lemme know.

Would love a hunting switch button or customizable hotkeys as well.
Thanks.
crystal-hunter Sep 1 @ 4:49pm
It's a good mod, but make a more convenient hunting switch button or a button in the interface or customizable hotkeys.

I GOT IT THANKS :-] :-] :-] :-]
brandoncoffey2000 Aug 30 @ 11:03am
i am a bit dumb i don't now how
Arylice  [author] Aug 29 @ 7:50pm
If the option menu is broken, you might need to reset this mod's Config!
1. Go in:
C:\Users\User\AppData\LocalLow\Ludeon Studios\RimWorld by Ludeon Studios\Config
2. And delete:
Mod_ARY_AutomaticHunting_ARYAH_ModMain_DrawMenu.xml
brandoncoffey2000 Aug 29 @ 7:19pm
i can't change any settings
brandoncoffey2000 Aug 29 @ 7:14pm

Thank you very much for updating, this is a staple QoL mod in my opinion.
Knighlty Aug 9 @ 10:15pm

Knighlty Aug 8 @ 4:20am

#CornRust.com Jul 30 @ 6:48pm
@arylice Can you please update this, thank you for your time and effort into this
Squishyjellyfish Jul 12 @ 12:25am
1.6 please
Draco Sicarius Jul 2 @ 8:17am
Will this be updated to 1.6?
Jangurs Mar 24 @ 12:43pm
Maybe even filter by leather type as well, that could also be useful
Jangurs Mar 24 @ 12:25pm
Is it possible to filter viable targets based on their meat amount, similar to how we can can select a maximum revenge chance?
Meradin Jan 31 @ 11:03pm
hollys There is a mod called Allow Dead Animals that should help with that.
ShyGuySpirit Jan 11 @ 11:41am
Is it possible to add calculations on animal corpses you have stored? I have an abundance and they keep wanting to hunt. I just need to butcher them and I'll have the amount of meat that triggers the automatic hunt.
hollys Dec 21, 2024 @ 9:45am
My hunters often don't pick up the animals because they are automatically marked with an X. Is there a way to change this?
SimplePhysics Dec 15, 2024 @ 7:03am
Great mod! Two small comments:

A: I'd like there to be some sort of "ratio" control instead of a hard-start/stop threshold for meat to activate this feature, perhaps a slider that says "amount of prey to target" that scales the number of prey off the missing meat, so, say, a value of 1 would make the mod only target 1 animal per 10 meat below threshold, 0.5 would target 1 animal per 20 meat below, etc. IDK if I'm describing it correctly but I kinda want the mod to automatically target fewer animals when I have just under the threshold I set.

B: I'd like a toggle button for the mod in the bottom-right buttons. I know there's the shortcut and the mod options, but it would just fit more thematically to have a button toggle.
star Nov 30, 2024 @ 12:46pm
they keep walking out of allowed area and dying with this mod
Xano Nov 19, 2024 @ 11:02am
very helpful mod, just a quick suggestion:
I would appreciate a check for other raw foods and/or cooked meals. I currently have an over-abundance of food because I had 700 rice not being checked and several meals stocked that were also not being checked.
All-in-all, not a dealbreaker. Just means I set the check time for 60 hours and undo the marked animals if needed.

UPDATE 8 : Added a button to disable notification messages!
. Nov 5, 2024 @ 6:36am
Wow. This is exactly the mod I was looking for. I searched for 'Automatic' and finally found this gem of a mod
Dante Mundus Oct 23, 2024 @ 4:04am
Could you please add a setting so that the message doesn't pop up while hunting?
xGxRxAxFx Oct 13, 2024 @ 7:31am
Hello. Is there a function to hunt for boomalopes in rain or snow to avoid massive fires? :DominaMurmillo::munchies:
Arylice  [author] Oct 7, 2024 @ 12:41pm
UPDATE 7 : Check the changelog!
NeatWolf Oct 6, 2024 @ 5:49pm
(and yup, one of them was bare handed as well, so +1 to the previous req :D)
NeatWolf Oct 6, 2024 @ 5:47pm
Hi there! May I suggest adding a configurable/optional max distance to pick a target? Currently if you set up your base on the edge of the map there's a fat chance hunters will pick a target hours of walking away - likely ending up killed :P
Takk Oct 5, 2024 @ 7:20pm
Is the thumbnail a the last of us reference
Vril Oct 5, 2024 @ 1:12pm
auto hauling to storage/butchering after killing option?
Nathanlasvegas Oct 5, 2024 @ 8:59am
@Yoann I second your request
Yoann Oct 5, 2024 @ 12:17am
@Arylice More option is always good, one for the whole "give the job to hunt" would be good for me: I'm only interested in the automatic mark the prey.
Mr McNificent Oct 4, 2024 @ 7:25pm
oh gosh that title gif is fantastic
Arylice  [author] Oct 4, 2024 @ 2:17pm
No worries, bare fist hunter will only hunt if their target has less Melee Damage Per Second than the hunter.
You can always set their Work Priority to Hunt to 0 so they don't go out hunting.
I could think about adding an option to disable melee hunters if desired. :lunar2020thinkingtiger:
Yoann Oct 4, 2024 @ 11:00am
"hunters will be given the job to hunt and attack. This includes bare fist hunters." This part can be disabled, right?
Arylice  [author] Oct 4, 2024 @ 9:21am
Pressing H (Misc2) + N (Misc4) is the button to quickly turn it on/off.
The button is also available to click through the mod option setting.
BoxximusPrime Oct 4, 2024 @ 8:44am
Love this. A quick on/off button somewhere would be super handy too. Maybe on top of the wildlife page or something?
A29 Oct 4, 2024 @ 6:00am
hi please get out of my hair
SimplePhysics Oct 3, 2024 @ 1:15pm
Man, I really needed this back when the Fog of War mods were more functional; they made it so that you couldn't see the animals on the Wildlife tab (at least not until later versions) and it was a matter of having to manually draft pawns to go out, find an animal, mark it to be hunted, etc... it was silly. But now these days I'm not sure those mods have been updated so it's not as important for that reason. Still, very nice simple feature! Thanks!
Arylice  [author] Oct 3, 2024 @ 10:09am
It is difficult to define what "[...] with very little meat" means exactly as the answer could be different for many other players. You have an option setting to create a list of animals to exclude from the automatic hunting.
kyrambox Oct 3, 2024 @ 6:40am
Please make an option to exclude small animals with very little meat. And better animal checklist will be highly appreciated :)
