NETSPARK is an experimental project ran by veterans of the HL2RP Community with the goal of taking lessons and inspiration from a variety of projects, such as Alplands, TerraNova/Pointbreak, and Kill City to bring a fresh spin on the age old gamemode.

The server, at launch, will take place along a small Combine Outpost on the Congo River during the waning hours of the now Human occupation of Earth. The Combine's influence is light with the setting being a frontier town; misfits, greedy mercenaries, warlords, tired, coffee-fueled cops, and underpaid miners are all the norm. This unique setting is backed by some of the community's best writers, delivering a rich lore that is both shown and told.

Immerse yourself in this unique world where following a failed uprising by Lambda, the Combine's Occupation of Earth has largely ended. With a small Advisor skeleton crew, the Human Occupation of Earth, led by a Breen too sickly for an advisor host body, now grapples with matters of succession, infighting, the Suppression field, and a looming 2nd Uprising.

NETSPARK's development has taken pages from games such as Disco Elysium, Baldur's Gate 3, and more to add mechanical systems that enhance, not replace, roleplay. NETSPARK features unique systems such as Traits & Backgrounds, a fully fleshed out illness and drug system, custom combat & status effects, item fabrication, telephones, TVs, Radios, and much-much more. On top of that, custom modeling, mapping, SFMs, sound design, and more have been handcrafted to the setting to deliver a truly one of a kind experience that others servers refuse to explore.

NETSPARK is slated to launch sometime in late Q4 2023 or Q1 2024 with several tests and events occurring before launch.
