As stated above, this overhaul requires Norbyte's Script Extender[github.com] as well as OdinCore - Mod Services to use.

What is the Script Extender and why do I need it?
Norbyte's Script Extender is similar to how the Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE) works; it provides access to a lot of lower-level code for modders. As such, I've been able to create lots of new script-heavy mechanics for this mod.

Another excellent feature that the Script Extender provides is a HUGE improvement to load times when playing with lots of mods, cutting 10-minute load screens down by ~90%. Even if you aren't planning on using this overhaul, I'd recommend grabbing the extender for that feature alone!

How do I install it?
Check out my installation guide here. Alternatively, if you are using LaughingLeader's excellent Mod Manager[github.com], you can simply click the "Tools" option at the top of the window, and then click "Download & Install Osiris Extender". Easy peasy!

Core Mechanics
I've taken a different approach with this particular overhaul, whereby I haven't designed my usual playstyles. This time around, I've designed the skills and changes to give you the toolkit to create your own favourite builds. Instead, here are some of the core mechanics this overhaul introduces to give you some inspiration:

  • Elemental Adaptation
    • By using the new version of Elemental Arrowheads on a ground surface, your bow attacks and skills are converted to be 100% of that surface damage type.
    • Damage is calculated using your regular attack stacks (i.e. Finesse, Warfare, etc.), and then does the damage conversion.
    • This effect does not convert damage dealt from crafted arrows.
    • This allows you to play an elemental archer without spreading skillpoints too thin and relying on crafted arrows.
  • Animal Companion
    • Who better to share the hunt with than an animal companion?
    • Use the Animal Companion skill to call upon an ally: Noctis the Night Owl, Elkahoof the Forest Deer, or Grizzle the Mountain Bear.
    • There are a few companion skills, which provide you and your animal companion unique benefits, such as sharing damage taken.
  • Grenadier passive
    • Each Huntsman point now also provides a 5% damage boost to crafted grenades.
    • This effect, coupled with the new Savvy Hunter skill, allows you to create a grenadier!

Skills
The new skills and mechanics introduced in this overhaul are designed to feel as unique as possible. Each new skill is heavily-scripted, meaning enemy AI does not make the best use of them. As such, only the Nowhere to Hide skill will appear on certain enemies: other skills are not used by the AI. Changes to basegame skills will be used by the AI, however.


As a comprehensive overhaul, this mod also reworks a lot of the basegame Huntsman spells, and I have compiled these changes into a doc:



Riad the Hunter is a lethal tracker, and he is able to sell the party skillbooks if you have the coin. Riad may be found throughout the game in various locations:
  • Fort Joy:
    • Next to the tent west of the Fort's initial entrance, in front of a fish rack.
    • On a small shore, behind the tent next to the altar in Armadia's Sanctuary.
  • Reaper's Coast:
    • Aboard the Lady Vengeance. He is next to a ladder to the rear crows nest.
    • Atop the gate at the entrance to Driftwood Square.
  • Nameless Isle: On the landing shore as you arrive.
  • Arx: In the West section of the market square, opposite the Dwarven blacksmiths.

Basegame Huntsman vendors also stock the new skills, and the new vendors can be toggled on/off whenever you like using the Odinomicon mod settings menu from OdinCore.

-Accuracy +25%. Useless again.

If you are an Archer: Crossbows already give you +Accuracy making the Nimble buff obsolete, and if you are wearing the Vulture Armor Nimble becomes even more obsolete than ever.

If you are a mage: Accuracy is irrelevant. Magic doesn´t take accuracy into account.

If you are a melee unit: No reason to use Nimble over Cloak and Dagger.

That change alone ruined the entire rework for me.

I really enojy all your rework mods, so thank you for all the hard work.

I have an observation for this one in particular. Tactical Retreat was ruined completely, you remove the one good thing about it (Haste) and replaced it with something that is totally useless (Nimble).

- Movement +3: Completely useless. If I use Tactical Retreat is to reposition myself already where I want, so why would I want to move again? Even if for some (unlikely) reason I am forced to move again, I don´t think it will justify a +3 movement, and will just move enough to waste 1AP with or wihout nimble.

C:\Program Files (x86) / Steam / steamapps / common\Divinity / Original Sin 2 / DefEd / bin / dxgi.dll

It is not a bin folder in the Original Sin 2 folder, but a bin folder in the DefEd folder. I'm done doing this.

I have same problems :(
1) Traps no work !!!
2) Summon cant be call !!!!
TOTAL DISAPPOINTING because is just two skill thnx i intal this mod (summon/trap) all other is only rework/or some other skill have in base game...

Traps don't work, they just disappear and also summon a companion pet does not work either.
