This modpack contains various additions and mods of many different authors - including myself. It is aimed at extending the vanilla game with new blocks and functionality that should - in my opinion - be part of the base game. I've tried to choose them carefully and made sure they fit neatly into the game, not changing gameplay in a too drastic way but still adding more possibilities and options.

AQD - A Quantum of Depth is a project of mine, encompassing multiple small and larger mods aimed at improving the gameplay experience and eventually overhauling larger parts of the game:

Simply add this mod to your savegame. All the mods listed as dependencies will be added automatically, but not show up in your mod list:

Mods by various authors
Dark Helmet
Build Vision
Allows access to block terminal functions without opening up the whole terminal menu.
Paint Gun
Adds a paint gun that makes especially the coloring of partially obstructed blocks easier.
Mechanical Keybinds
Control your pistons, rotors, and hinges with movement keypresses!
Production Quotas
Adds a quota list to the assemblers in game (basic and up). Assemblers will automatically add components to production if the grid contains less than the desired item count.
Armor Expansion
Adds new armor blocks and plates with full armor skin support.
Armored Thrusters
A complete set of armored thrusters, based on the new DX11 models.
Banner LCDs
Allows you to display text and images in various sizes on your structures.
Small Grid Expansion
Adds a number of blocks to the game which previously were only available in large grid versions.
Conveyor Expansion
Adds more conveyor shapes, armored versions of conveyors and related blocks.
LCD Image Extension
Adds several new vanilla-style LCD images.
Reinforced Windows
Introduces a set of reinforced windows to the game.
Upgradeable Gyroscopes
Introduces a larger gyroscope for large builds and several gyro upgrade modules.
Vanilla Extension - Core
Adds Multi Button and Narrow Seats.
Frosty & Zkillerproxy
Cargo Fill Level LCDs
Adds an option to display the cargo fill level to LCDs.
Carry and drag small grid grids.
More Pistons
Adds more piston lengths to the game.
HUD Compass
Adds a compass to the screen when within planetary gravity.
Sleep Mod
When all players are in beds or cryo pods during nighttime, night is skipped.


  • This modpack is not finished. I'll be adding more mods as I find and make them. Feel free to suggest more mods to add, but I will be very selective about which to pick. Your vision of what should be in the vanilla game will likely differ from mine - and that's fine!

Disable specific mods?

you should take hud compass out of this modpack as it causes my game and id assume others when loading back into your save and i like the rest of the mods in the pack.

That's the plan but I'm waiting until its MP implementation is not "experimental" anymore.

should switch from the Gridpickup mod to Improvised Engineering (Grid Pickup/Holding/Manipulation Mod) Nicknamed: Grabby Hands by mz. has rotation functionality

The mods are referenced through dependencies, not copied. Hence, whatever version the individual mods are currently on will be the version you're getting too.

i have a question, does it automaticaly adds the updated versions of mods or did you just copied the config files of the mod at the time ?

Any chance you could make the aforementioned changes to the dependencies? There's also a fixed compas mod. Thanks!

@enenra After a lot of testing on our dedicated server, we had some issues with Easy Inventory. It had also broke the Nanite Factory mod.
I think it need more time to be stabilized.

No problem, I was just looking to see if anyone else had an issue or if it was just me. I was working on another mod and realized I forgot to type something and it was all me.
