Porte de Nantes (Rennes, France)

Description
Porte de Nantes (Rennes, France)

This is my attempt at recreating Porte de Nantes, an interchange in Rennes, France.

The interchange is essentialy a cloverleaf with one missing loop replaced by a big roundabout. Northbound N137 becomes avenue Henri Freville as you enter the city, braided lanes come together to form a diamond interchange, spreading the traffic entering the city. Additional ramps leading to a small roundabout provide access to the Alma mall.

I made it at real life scale but it is not 100% accurate since i made the highways perfectly straight and had to deal with CS road widths which don't match reality. On the pictures you can see how I also made the surrounding of the interchange, but the asset itself is limited to what you see in the last picture.

Useful mods
  • Next2 is required as this asset uses its 2 and 4 lane highways aswell as the 3 lanes street and the 6 lanes avenue with median.
  • You will notice several redondancies in the connections, for instance W->S can be achieve either by using the clover loop or by entering the roundabout directly (but in this case you conflict with S->N traffic). Thus TMPE lane connectors should be use wisely in order to maximise the intersection capacity, i'm including a example of settings on the last picture.
  • As always Fine Road Tool may be necessary to ensure the correct plopping of elevated/sunken segments. Anyway it's an awesome mod so use it ^^
  • You will want to use Move It with snap toggle ON to realign some of the bending segments. No tutorial this time as these are minor fixes, do your best !
