Move It

Compatible with Cities Skylines 1.14.1-f2

This mod allows you to select, move and align various things.

Read the Move It User Guide for more information!

Check out AllBuilds[] to get great Cities Skylines creations that you can add to your city with Move It.

New in 2.9.6
- Optional support for Unified UI added (thanks kian.zarrin)
- You can now Control+Click on Find It 2 entries to load the asset into Move It as a paste-able clone selection. (Thanks sway)
- New keyboard shortcut option to toggle selectors on or off
- Updated translations, misc. bug fixes

Use the M key to toggle the tool or click the button (draggable with right click) next to the bulldoze tool.

Hold the Shift key to select multiple objects to move at once.

The following objects can be selected with Left Click:
- Buildings
- Trees
- Props (Get Prop Anarchy or Prop Snapping to be able to move up/down. Props that conform to terrain can not be raised/lowered.)
- Decals
- Surfaces (brushes and ploppable surfaces)
- Network nodes and segments (roads, quays, etc...)
- Procedural Objects (requires the Procedural Objects mod)

To fully move props you must have either Prop Anarchy, or both Prop Snapping and Prop Precision. Make sure you enable both of Prop Snapping's options.

To vertically move trees, you need Tree Anarchy or Tree Snapping.

For networks, you must move nodes not segments.

This tool doesn't provide any limitations for maximum power. Use at your own risk.

Read the Move It User Guide for more information!

Does not use the detour technique for maximum compatibility.
Does not alter game save files in any way and can be disabled/removed safely at any time.

You can see the assets in exported XML with Deehek's Asset List Generator[] tool.

Thanks to my beta testers for their testing and suggestions, especially Chamëleon TBN, Deeheks and Leader of the Monkeys[]. Workshop graphics by James Chapman[] and some icons by Bad Peanut. Special thank you to SamsamTS for creating Move It and other indispensable mods.

Move It Question?

@abdkimismail, pedestrian paths try to connect to other paths, it could be one end is too close to another path - when this happens the path pulls the earth up with it so they can still connect. Try making the bridge somewhere isolated at first, then move it where you want it to be. You'll see it try to connect to other paths as you move it around :) Hope that works for you!

I'm having an issue with the move it, i tried pedestrian bridge elevation using page up and down and it elevates but it didn't work as expected. I don't know how to explain this but when i elevate the bridge, it kind of pulling the ground surface, rather than creating stilt support. I tried slopping together with the ground path and it doesn't work as well.

my game only freezes when im using this mod to move roads, and it's every single session

Having an issue with Move-It breaking road elevation. When I load into a city, road elevation (pgup/pgdn) work fine. But after I use Move-It for anything, it no longer works correctly -- when I try to raise/lower a road, it raised/lowers the land under the road instead of placing pylons. I removed No Pylons mod, so that is not related. I have been using Move-It for a long time now, and never had an issue before recently. Anyone got a fix?

Having similar issues like others have reported with not being able to move the roads up or down. Great mod nonetheless.

Great God, ask for a module without traffic jam. Can you help make one? Paid! Try not to block the sea, land and air~

Hi Quboid, could you look into the issue of nodes being 2.5 meter off the chosen height in Set Position tool? If you have already, Do you think a fix is possible? I'm currently looking at the Move it code but I'm not familiar with CS modding so i'm miles away from fixing. I couldn't make an issue on Github but I already did a post on "Beta Testing" Discord with different cases in late december. Thank you for your time

@Noah, thanks mate, that did it for me! and @Quboid...thanks for such great work on the most essential mod!

Have been able to fix, using prop anarchy by Quistar, and using Alt-S to enable/disable prop snapping enabled me to use the pgup and pgdn function again

@Quboid before you start checking, I have no issue with MoveIt! I use Prop Anarchy (by Quistar), Tree Anarchy (by Quistar), but I do not use Prop Snapping (by BloodyPenguin), Tree Snapping (by BloodyPenguin).
