I do recommend this game and agree with much of the sentiment of other positive reviews here. However:

The main thing that keeps me from playing the game more are the quests. It so closely resembles Tarkov's system which is probably one of the worst aspects of Tarkov (some quests are basically cloned). If we could have a more engaging progression system than EFT's, I'd be back right away. Currently it's too grindy and shallow.

This game has been marketed as Wolfenstein with a friend. Why not just make that? Look at the screenshots and videos. Beautiful graphics, tight controls, satisfying gory combat with a friend. It's simple but looks like great fun.

But instead, enemies have ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ RPG floating health bars. Some basic common enemies are so bullet spongey they take multiple mags to bring down while you kite them around. Bosses are the same story but on steroids.

On top of that, you can only do missions that you're the right level for, otherwise if you try to progress beyond a certain point the enemies will be absurdly strong and one shot you. One bullet will take you from max health to zero. And they're not special enemies or anything, they're the same grunts you've been killing already but with a skull by their health bar.

Why add RPG / looter shooter mechanics into an excellent fps game? Just why?

It's a fun game especially with a group of friends. Has a nice atmosphere and it's a high risk/high reward game which is interesting.

However, hardly anyone is mentioning the fact that you can blow players up in the looter safezone with grenades and not take any traitor penalty.

Anyone can just purchase grenades with little money and toss them into a group of players standing around the trader. 2 grenades will kill someone wearing full armour, which can be easily done before anyone knows what's going on. The bodies can then all be looted and the gear stored in the trader before anyone knows what happened. If more people knew about this it'd be unplayable and needs to be fixed ASAP.

It feels like this game is being praised far too highly. The first 30 minutes were interesting and the setting is fairly creepy. However, once the game gets going, I found the combat is uninspired and clunky, exploration boring and enemies not as interesting as they initially seemed.

I've only played two hours and to me it already feels tedious... Not a good sign.

I encourage you to try it yourself, but you may feel the same way and refund at the two hour mark.

Just go play New Vegas... This game traded all its story and RPG elements in favour of slightly improved shooting mechanics - not worth.
