Eine typische Bethesda Sandbox. Sicher kein GOTY Contender aber ein durchaus gutes Spiel. Wichtiger jedoch: Es ist eine sehr gute Sandbox. Wenn man sich auch nur halbwegs mit den anderen Bethesda Titeln dieses Kalibers auskennt, dann weiß man, dass die Spiele mit der Modding Community stehen und fallen. Wer Spiele wie Skyrim, Fallout oder Starfield kauft um ein von Grund auf perfektes Spielerlebnis zu bekommen, der hat die Kontrolle über sein Leben verloren. Ähnlich wie wenn man ein RTS kauft und einen actiongeladenen corridor Shooter erwartet. Ich denke für alle Langsamen unter uns wird es Zeit, dass für Spiele dieser Art ein neues Genre erschaffen werden muss. "Moddable Sandbox" oder so.

Ich bin mir sehr sicher, dass die Modding Community in absehbarer Zukunft abheben wird und dafür sorgt, dass auch dieses Spiel - wie Skyrim zuvor - auch noch in einem Jahrzehnt sehr relevant bleiben wird, was man in dieser Form nur von SEHR SEHR wenigen Spielen sagen kann, egal wie gut sie bei Release sind/waren. Zumindest wenn Bethesda nicht wie bei Skyrim wieder auf dumme Gedanken kommt die Mods zu kommerzialisieren und dann von der Community wieder gerade geprügelt werden muss.

Runs like ♥♥♥♥ on Steam Deck. It's marked as "playable".

Yea sure, if by playable you mean "Play half hour sessions because the game crashes like crazy", then it is indeed playable.

The game is good I guess. At least for an early access title. Problem is that it is just not for me.

I'm being honest here when I say that the servant system was the sole thing that sold me on this game. But when it comes down to it your servants are just glorified watchdogs that gather resources. Watchdogs because the randomly strut around your castle and defend it from mobs and hostile players and resource gatherers because...I mean wow, they are just like in WoW. You sent them out to gather stuff, they are gone for two to twenty hours and then they come back with stuff until you send them on their way again.

You can't even let them follow and hunt with you.

When you make a vampire game with the possibility to create your own vampire servants and use them mainly as mobile-gamey gathering timers you WILLINGLY let the potential that comes with it untouched and just say to yourself that that's enough.


So to come to an end: If you are sold on the game just because you've read that you could hunt and convert any humanoid NPC and make them your servant, then stay away. It's almost illegal how undemanding the devs were when they thought about the servants feature.

Beautiful simplicity and fun. Don't expect too much depth here. That isn't even the selling point of the game. The gameplay loop of choosing a character/perks, running a stage (which last at most 30 minutes so it's perfect for quick and intense gameplay sessions), snatching loot and inevitably die against MASSES of monsters is just super fun.

Also the game is just 3 bucks. That's nothing. No wonder this game skyrockets the charts.

"Game ran out of memory". I have 32GB ram what do you MEAN "ran out of memory". This Modloader officially only supports 32-bit. You have to download the 64-bit version and frankenstein those two together to circumvent the low memory that comes with 32-bit. That is absolute stupidity. Who came up with that idea?

And the fact that this freak of nature still does not support the Journeys End update (which it came out alongside with...way more than ONE YEAR ago) does not help either.

I love Terraria but - holy frick - this modloader is just filled with stupid choices.

The game is good but definitely not great. Too bad it's also a bug riddled mess and it gets worse by the day. Now there are bugs that irreversibly destroy your save file once you loot and craft too much because the game is unable to handle save files which are more than 8 mb?

Even Sony and Microsoft allow for easy refunds because the game is an unfinished nightmare (at least it is somewhat playable on PC but even that is a bold statement) but steam just denied my refund. If that is the case I can't resist but write a negative review even though I said it's a good game in it's core. So why do I do that? Because I'm the type of gamer who loots everything and crafts thousands of items just because I want to. And that means, in the game's current state, I CAN'T play the game because that would mean that I would run into the 8 mb save file problem rather sooner than later and screw myself over in the end. And the official "We might allow for bigger save files in the future" statement is not something that encourages me to believe in CPR's competence.

Such an utter dissapointment.

Als jemand, der IRL größere Probleme hat Konversationen zu beginnen und Smalltalk zu führen ist dieses Game ein Geschenk GOTTES. Ja, es hat zwei tage gedauert bis ich so weit aufgetaut bin, aber inzwischen bekomme sogar ich es von Tag zu Tag leichter hin andere Leute anzusprechen. Hier und da hat man natürlich wie in jeder Community seine paar Pampelmusen die anderen versuchen den Spielspaß zu verderben oder jüngere Spieler, die gerade ihr erstes Schimpfwort gelernt haben und es deshalb allen stolz präsentieren müssen aber im großen und ganzen empfinde ich die Community bisher als eher angenehm.

Desweiteren stimmt es, dass viele jüngere Personen dieses Spiel spielen, jedoch habe ich schon deutlich mehr als ein mal jüngere Spieler im Alter von 12-15 Jahren erlebt die dermaßen freundlich, locker und hilfsbereit sind, dass manch Ältere und "Reifere", die ich hier getroffen habe sich daran echt auch mal eine Scheibe abschneiden können. Dieses "Viele Kinder spielen das" kann ich also nun definitiv nicht mehr als kontra-Argument sehen.

Für die Fälle, die ich hier nun als eher negativ gezeigt habe, gibt es im UI auch ein sehr einfaches, schnelles Mittel eben diese Leute zu muten, zu blocken oder in ihrem Einfluss anderweitig einzuschränken, dass diese sehr schnell "entschärft" werden können und man problemlos weiterspielen kann.

Ich war immer skeptisch und abweisend "sozialen" Spielen und Communities gegenüber, aber meine bisher 17 Stunden Spielzeit habe ich nahezu alleine an einem Wochenende zu Stande gebracht. Es passieren immer noch Wunder auf der Welt.
