If you’re looking for a real, hard, and mature Fallout experience, the one from the "good 'ol days" when video games were meant to hurt and squish the last drops of sweat out of the player, you probably won’t find it here. However, if you seek a mostly casual title with a strong Fallout theme - this one may catch your attention.

Become a retired Dweller, set up your new home, and live your long days doing absolutely anything you like! Want to save another day and help the Appalachians in a not-so-immediate danger? You’re most welcome to! Have you dreamt about your own Brahmin and a trading post to supply fellow Wastelanders? You can have it here! But maybe you rather want to be left alone so you can master your building skills? That's totally f*cking acceptable cause the world won't struggle, and will manage to live on absolutely fine without you!

I haven't experienced the infamous painful start as I had started playing Fallout 76 already after the Wastelanders expansion. Since then, the game has received quite an impressive amount of fixes and free updates, which included a fair portion of new content.

It's worth remembering that some will always hate Fallout 76 - no big expansions, DLCs, or even the whole game refactoring would ever change that. This is fine cause the game's vibe is not for everyone. Hardcore players will not face a lot of challenges here but the rest of us filthy casuals might as well find their safe haven in super-chill Appalachian Wasteland 2076 AD.
