A Plague Tale is set during the Hundred Years' War in the 14th century, and the plague is in full flow. The story is excellent, especially watching the De Runes going from nobility to losing everything in an instant, and their constant struggle throughout the storyline makes you feel the hardships of those times. Visually the game is a masterpiece and will have you stopping multiple times to either enjoy the French country side or gasp in horror of the aftermath brought on by both the Inquisition and the rising plague.
The game does a superb job of delivering a compelling story with excellent character development.
