Dead by Daylight is..

..when you get confused, is it a bug or a game mechanic
..when any of your actions in the game is likely to be considered toxic by someone, even if you just stood there
..when you did -4 on killer, but for some reason they send you to learn how to play
..when you released the last survivor into the hatch, and he spammed "EZ" in the post-game chat
..when you save your teammate at the cost of your skin, after which he crouches at the gate while you hang
..when you learn so much about your mother after playing that you can't believe your eyes
..when "99 minor bugs, 99. We'll fix one, patch the second, and now there are 103 of them"
..when "I THINK WE DID A PRETTY GOOD JOB SO FAR"

Wow, I'm really still playing this game...

The balance is still not very good, they just started adding perks more often that break this balance, but the game is fun as always
