You are quite literally one of the top10 advocates on the whole metro discussion right now. Fantastic post, thank you. +1
[[ Personally, feel more sorry for all millions of people in the
[[ world who do not have money so they can go to school
[[ and learn English!
Education is important too, of course. English .... not so much, honestly. Be fluent in your own language, and (unlike myself and too many of my countrymen) pick up just one other language, and you're already a leg up on things, IMO.
Math, science, geography & history, sociology & economics ... I would argue that those are all much more important than which particular language you speak. :)
And that's another area that the U.S. is falling behind in, sadly; I could wish we treated our teachers and schools the way scandinavian countri like Finland, do. THAT would truly "Make America Great Again", rather than Trump's racist, crony-capitalist nonsense.

[[ How does it feel live in a country that has no free healthcare?
Pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥, actually.
Not that a Single Payer system is truly free - it has to be paid for with taxes - but, it's at least guaranteed to be affordable to everyone, as the cost is shared out across the whole population.
The ACA ("Obamacare" as the Republicans insist on calling it) was a step in the right direction, but only a step , not truly a proper solution: it didn't go far enough. And now, the conservatives are driving the whole country in the opposite direction.
