I wish there was a 'Neutral' rating, because it's both hard to recommend but also vote down.

The core game itself, I found fun. I enjoyed the quickhacks and playing with smart/tech weapons. The sidequests (not hustles) were all pretty in-depth and had some real quality to them.

However

This game is not finished. It was evidently released way too early. There are bugs everywhere, some small, some immersion breaking. The game just... breaks at times. The game, with RTX on, is one of the best looking games I have played yet at the same time, plagued by pop in issues and a myriad of RTX lighting issues. The AI is simple, pedestrians even simpler. Some mods (items you can equip to your gear for stats) just don't work. The list is honestly endless and that's even hyperbole.

It's weird because any other game I've played that has been in a similar state, I've hated. But something about this game kept me wanting to play. At the core there really is something great.

In a year or two, this game could be amazing. Hopefully CDPR do a 'No Man's Sky' and turn it around but only time will tell.

hades is my personal game of 2020. the gameplay is fluid, the artstyle is incredible and the music is fantastic. every character in the game is engaging and it's a joy interacting with them.

even if you're not a fan of roguelites, it's worth giving a shot. supergiant have combated a lot of flaws with the genre to the point where you're almost happy to die in a run.

Endwalker Edit:

Best JRPG ever. Hands down.

Short Version

Shadowbringers is one of the best games I've ever played. The story is fantastic, the music incredible and some of the best dungeons in MMOs.

Long Version

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn starts slow. The Main Scenario Quests usually just involve teleporting around and talking to people and when there is combat, there isn't a whole lot to it at the lower levels. The dungeons have questionable mechanics and it feels like they tried to do new and unique things, but it kinda fell flat. The story itself is also slow, and quite often I found myself just confused as to what was going on.

Towards the end of the 'Seventh Astral Era' quests (the ones after the A Realm Reborn story but before Heavensward) the story started to click for me. It was still a slog to get through, but at least I found myself wanting to know more instead of just wondering what on earth was going on.

Heavensward onwards is really where the game takes off. It feels like they learned from earlier mistakes and started shaping the game into what it is today. The dungeons improved big time, they got new voice actors and the story keeps you wanting more. Stormblood followed suit and seemed to just improve on all areas of the game.

Shadowbringers is just the icing on the cake. The story is fantastic. The villains are written wonderfully. The music is phenomenal. I can't praise it enough.

If you can get through the slog of A Realm Reborn it will be worth it. 100%.

Early Access Review
a pretty chill and laid back game. reminds me a lot of viscera cleanup detail, minus the blood and easier difficulty (so far).

i'm not a huge fan of the decorating part of the game, could maybe use some tweaks to make it less of a slog but overall i really enjoy it so far.

while the pc port is kinda bad (get the FAR mod) and has some minor flaws, this game is truly a transcendent experience. the characters, narrative and music are all incredible whilst being backed up by smooth, silky combat. no game has made me quite feel like this one has... thoroughly recommend.

Crash bandicoot n. Sane trilogy is a good day for me and I was like a year so I can get the sunrise but we'll have to go to the airport for the best coffee in the morning and the rest of the game to suffer from the rest of the game to suffer from the rest of the game to suffer from the rest of the game to suffer from the rest of the game
