The characters are memorable, the story is simple but effective, and the gameplay was not only ahead of its time but also easy to pick up—holding up even by today’s standards. While already one of the greatest games of all time, with each playthrough I’ve come to appreciate its unique atmosphere that's shaped by the setting, the older visuals, and the hauntingly beautiful music.

20 years later and every time I revisit it, I’m right back in 2005—playing RE4 for the first time again.
