It's an abomination but it pleases the lower class of gamers pretty well.
It has lazy game levels, very dull and lazy game mechanics and mostly remind me of dance dance revolution with Doom skin.
It's not really a good game but its also not a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game.

Great korean p2w grind-game.
Its fun, its NOT better than Diablo 2 and 3 but it is fun.
The only downside, it is p2w and it will get even more p2w the more you play.
Basically either be prepared to spend 10hours a day in the game or waste a lot of money in the game. All mechanics are build towards getting you to do waste either of those ressources into it. Classic Korean grindfest simulator with a soft pay-wall.

If you love the game and are some desperate delusional fanboy you will not mind it but keep in mind it has a predatory item shop and whales can skip grind and buy better gear and reach endcontent in 1 day while you will have to grind for 10hours a day for many months.
Enjoy having no life! ;)

Edit:If you look how some profiles here defend the game 24h and even follow you on other steam forums only cause they hate you over silly thing like an opinion on a game and hold grudges against you for over half a year, then you have your answer to the question if the game is dead or not. Some players suffer from brutal personality disorder.

Das Spiel ist extrem nicht was man erwartet. Man muss sich einfügen unter anderen Squads und tun was die einem sagen. Andere Squad Leader haben mehr Fähigkeiten und mehr Möglichkeiten während man selber als Kannonfutter rumlaufen darf. Man stirbt oft was normal für das Spiel ist. Wer halt gerne oft auf Spawn-timer schaut und 100 mal zurück rennt der ist hier richtig. Aber naja vom Spiel design her find ichs eher doof.
Gibt bestimmt Leute denen genau so etwas total zusagt und Spaß macht. Für mich ist das einfach nur Dark Souls war betrunken und hatte was mit Battlefield 1 und ARMA is der neue Stiefvater.
Runden in HLL können bis zu 60 Minuten dauern und sind oft sehr sehr lang. Wer also auf so etwas steht und nicht nur swischendurch Krieg spielen will wird auf seine Kosten kommen.

If you like Among Us or Fall Guys this is a must buy.
Its fun, its family friendly. Its cheap. What else do you want?

If you are looking for a new and nice mmorpgs this one is good. Dont listen to those trolls who say otherwise.
Its the best mmorpgs I have played since many years.
Its something new, not better than others, but its new and different.
I played WoW, BDO, STO, and many others. New World has something that I like but I cant really describe it, you have to test it yourself.

MMORPG is a very specific genre. Many people bought this game not being or having played many other mmorpgs and expected it to be to their liking.
This is not Fortnite or Call of Duty guys. Community who gives bad reviews to this amazing game is just brain-afk.

The game is amazing. The sounds can give you goosebumps. Just do some gathering and you will feel like you are really in that world gathering stuff.
The combat is mostly ok and fun.

The game is smart and needs a lot of sneaking and planing.
It has ok graphics and is most fun in a team. Actually when you want to play this game you have to play in a team even though you can play it solo.
But the enemies are so many you will have a hard time with the limited ammo and resources in the game.
The big downside of this game is the time.
It takes almost 2 to 3 hours to finish a challenging map if you are not in a well coordinated team that knows the map already by hard.
Played 3 maps so far.
Took me about 1,5 hours to rush them and about 2.5 hours if I wanted to do almost all objectives.
Its just such a time sink for one playthrough that I know already I wont be spending a lot of time in this game.
Most fun for me was the terminal, cause I am already coding linux servers in my job, so those queries are kinda super smart and familiar.

It's a clone of minecraft so to speak. With different graphic and some changes here and there.

Its nice if you are totally bored but its doing not much different than all the other minecraft clones.
Its release came at the right time, so people are bored at home, and any halfway decent release will make good sales. and PvE games are rare nowadays anyway. Most devs want to make a lot of profit so they make everything PvP or at least multiplayer-ready.
Yes you can play vallheim with others but main focus is really in exploring and building stuff on your own.
I can not recomend it, cause it has not much content for now and I already reached end-game and there is not much to do.
