enjoyed the game for a long time but as time goes on the ags dev's once again do not listen to the players. they deleted for forums, there discord mods ban everyone and delete peoples complaints. they take took away region transfers ( i'm in an a base in iraq and i can't transfer my us west toons to eu central so i'm forced to play at 300 ping or start a 4th toon ). aim lock is terrible as it makes bb's op as the bullets lock not just the aim. m3's are none exsistant as they one shot everyone even in 725 bis gear so items locked behind m3 are unavailable unless you grind enough dense materia to buy 1 every few months. melee combat felt 10x better before the movement switch before the aeternum launch. melee is very sluggish now vs old combat as well. the game combat was what made this game so good but even that they messed up with the changes.

This is one of the hardest Review I have had to do for any game I've reviewed on steam. I have put in just over 100 hours since buying this game about a week ago and I have been enjoying it, for the most part... It's easy to say that for everything I like about the game, there is something about it that I dont like. If you haunt played it you have to go into the game knowing that just about any game that has a PVP focus is going to come with a majority of immaturity. In my 100 hours I have met three people who didnt put out vibes of a teenager trying to seem cool in a room full of adults. There is also NO name restrictions for guilds or characters, so there are a lot of... creative.. Names. The chat system is a cluster, causing people to not know if they're getting a direct message and a lot of the community have the different chats off because of the trying-to-be-cool-teens. However if you do meet someone, make a friend and quest together or take down a giant boss, dungeon or PVP together, like any mmo, always makes the game better.

The war system is a cool, but complicated system, unlike games like conquerors blade where people can just up and take it with numbers.. this game provides lots of stages and gives both sides preparation before one side can overtake the other. It's a steep learning curve, but getting into a Company (Games Guild System) can help with that.

On the topic of companies, I got pulled into one recently and they do not like new people, most people I've interacted with dont.. There are lots of tutorials and websites on the internet to answer questions and I suggest you find them because if you ask a question in this game, you will get laughed at... teens..

But with all its downsides brought on by a not-so-friendly community, If you have friends to play the game with it is a good game.. The structured PVE is fun but doesn't hold you hand like some MMOs, PVP is unforgiving, causing you to focus because one bad move can turn the tide and ruin the match for your team. The questing is hard, but fun.. Picking a class you like and learning to survive with it is great, however, with a no class system you can always switch.

Overall, I wish the community was a little more new friendly, but I, like many others, turn my chat off and enjoy the times when the teens are in school and the game is fun.

I own this game since 2021 and only have 6h now it turns out you have to buy a dlc full price, same price as the original game... to play the dlc while new people can just buy the game with the dlc alredy.
dont buy this game. awful.
