It really just feels half baked...
I understand what they were going for, but the entire gameplay loop is really bland and boring.

It's a great game in every aspect, and deserves high praise.
Nearly a perfect game, but suffers from some very annoying things that REALLY should have been patched/fixed,such as:

The ability lines that indicate how your spell/arrow/grenade will be used are often fouled by invisible walls, or hit things in it's path that the game seems to not notice when creating this action line.

The effect circle on abilities/grenades/etc. will always be highly inaccurate about who will actually be hit, and invisible walls will often ruin an arrow or grenade throw, etc.

Certain spells that chain to additional enemies are impossible to predict, and have no indication on exactly how it will work, sometimes hitting invisible walls, and often ruining a precious action.

Certain status's/abilities are incredible unclear, seemingly ignoring random factors that should otherwise prevent actions, such as entangle being ignored by various teleporting actions.

Honestly... the only saving grace to this game is the extremely frequent quick save.
Moving is janky and you often have no idea exactly what exactly you're supposed to do.
The unreliable movement really just ruins the entire experience on what could otherwise be a 'decent' game.

Fun at first, but trying move objects around with your webs got really old really fast.

It's not 'bad' it's just not worth recommending.

All 69 hours of my game time felt great.

The game is pretty fun. Brutal at times, but fun.
Except towards the end... Then it's just a slog to get around, and finish the game.
Then if you're lucky like me, the game crashes during the final cutscene, and then you get stuck in a loop of issues based around the manual save system and not realizing you lost a lot of 'side-progress', and never get your 'good ending' achievement.

I still recommend this game, but with a grain of salt.

This has 'at best' about 1.5 hours of story missions.
Should be like a 5$ add-on DLC, that goes on sale for much less.

An absolute buggy nightmare, with incredibly fun traversing mechanics.
If it's not on a massive sale, bypass at all costs.

This game didn't age well at all.... And they changed almost nothing other than textures and lighting.

Every original bug, and a few more, are in this remastered edition.

Don't take this the wrong way, the game itself is great, and if you haven't played it, it's worth playing.
But this is no better than the original, if not worse.
