I have nothing negative to say about ChilloutVR. I have interviewed many creators, developers, and more and have been floored beyond excitement for what is to come. ChilloutVR is going to get big. Soon. I can feel it in my bones.

* A friendly and mature player community that actively supports the game's growth. Despite personal circumstances that make it difficult, I've eagerly contributed to show my support, appreciating the excellent features, extensive accessibility options, and mod support.

* Effective content gating to protect minors, with a vigilant moderation team that addresses abuse promptly—a significant improvement compared to other platforms.

* Innovative systems like mod-enabled props, sub-maps that you can spawn in any world, functional escalators, and map-independent vehicles enhance the overall experience enough to impress on its own.

* A well-designed video player for YouTube watch parties and streams, even capable of using Hyperbeam, a feature lacking in quality and cohesion on other platforms.

* An accessible content creation system that many creators find easier to work with than alternatives.

* Outstanding performance and optimization, providing unique and creative opportunities that surpass competing platforms. The ability to render expansive maps at 144FPS is a remarkable feat.

* Server-side security prevents exploits, offering a safer environment. Alpha Blend Interactive values mods for accessibility and quality of life improvements.

* Alpha Blend Interactive's commitment to allowing modding enhances player experiences by allowing personalization. Unlike some competitors, security measures are server-sided, ensuring a better balance between freedom and protection in contrast to other platforms that may employ less effective solutions. It is their unique solution to security that allows Mods to flourish, where competitors often lack security entirely or ban modding entirely.

* Future plans for additional features, with a focus on scripting, aim to make ChilloutVR even more impressive than other platforms.

Regarding Udon as the primary competitive script model that I am aware of, according to various creators I interviewed to write this section, it has complexities and performance issues, potentially exposing users to malicious activities. ChilloutVR prioritizes server-side security to mitigate such issues, offering creators more control without compromising the user experience. The intention is to prevent ChilloutVR from becoming a platform plagued with negative content, differentiating it from competitors. Rumors suggest that upcoming features may include scripting capabilities, surpassing the functionalities of languages like Udon in competitors and opening doors for creators to potentially develop entire video games or MMORPGs within their worlds. The server-side security approach may also enable features like actual save mechanics, a promise competitors have failed to deliver.

* ChilloutVR's exceptional optimization provides creators with the freedom to develop more interactive worlds. This enhanced capability not only fosters a more engaging experience but also serves as a strong incentive for both creators and users to financially contribute to ChilloutVR's development. As the platform progresses to the next stage of development, this optimized environment offers the potential for more stable monetization for Alpha Blend Interactive and the entire creator economy within ChilloutVR. The prospect is comparable to even the success seen in games like Roblox. In my opinion, should attention from current, past, and future players be garnered, it will play a crucial role in the advancement of social Virtual Reality gaming platforms as a whole by setting stronger competitive standards, and raising the quality of experience available to the market. I have not seen this potential in competitors to ChilloutVR.


The only difficulty I've ever had with ChilloutVR is the (As of writing, this will be fixed in the next update according to the developers) voice chat system being a little buggy. Any other difficulties I've had were due to my unique runtime environment, being that my operating system is essentially an aggressively modified copy of Windows with the most possible amount of microsoft features removed. This made it exceedingly difficult to get the video codec to work, but I did and even managed to get a unique way to stream hyperbeam to function :')

I would add some gripes, but really I can't think of any and I've been writing this for over a day. I wanted to be as fair as possible, but honestly I can't really agree that the UI is as confusing as some say it is. The game is growing, the community is growing, the wrinkles are being ironed out at fantastic speeds for the resources available to the team, and honest to goodness this game deserves your support. It is a necessary competitor to notoriously bad and negligent actors in the market, and I am so so happy that I found it.
