Description
This mod has been bringing more immersion to common sounds in the game for over 8 years!

It packs a lot of sound content within one mod, making it great value within the 100 mod limit in Convoy multiplayer.

Compatibility

* ETS2 1.50.1 + ATS 1.50.1. No errors in game log. Must have high priority in Mod Manager.
* Does not replace individual player truck sounds, so this mod can be used with an unlimited amount of truck sound mods of your choice.
* Compatible with all maps and all trucks, including truck mods.
* Supported in single-player and multiplayer Convoy mode, and is marked as an optional mod in Convoy.
* If hosting a Convoy dedicated server with this mod, it is recommended to turn on "mods_optioning" to prevent mod version restrictions.
Minimum requirements

Requires higher priority in Mod Manager than:
- any map mods (e.g. ProMods)
- any AI traffic mods (e.g. traffic packs and traffic pack add-ons)
- any rain sound mods (unless proven to be compatible)
Feature list

The mod features meticulously crafted sounds, covering the following:

- An extensive variety of suspension and truck and trailer tire bump sounds.
- Fuel / filling station sounds.
- Door close and seatbelt sounds after refueling.
- Train sound enhancements, including authentic sounds for several locomotives and railroad cars.
- Country/state specific railroad crossing bell sounds.
- The most complete tire sound package, including tire noise for all terrains: asphalt, gravel, grass, snow, and sleeper lines.
- Wet tire sound for the player's truck tires when the asphalt roads are wet.
- Reworked tire screech sound effects.
- Working sounds for the Musical Road in American Truck Simulator's Historic Route 66.
- Nokia phone ringtone sound replacing the hurry up / late music, leading to less stress for the player.
- Default common sound reworks, such as improved default air brake sounds and a softer default reverse beep.
- AI traffic vehicle sound improvements, with engine and horn sounds uniquely set for specific vehicles.
- English AU/UK/US voice navigation variants with speaker effect added and uncustomary phrases removed.
- Wind buffeting and rush of air sounds at high speeds only when the window is open.
- Additional environmental and ambient sounds, and tasteful changes to existing ambient sounds in the game world.
- Trailer coupling and trailer brace rotation sounds.
- Four standalone air horns.
- Dynamic rain sounds, and an assortment of different thunder sounds with delay.
- The default wiper sound may now squeak only when the windshield is dry.
- Default gear grinding sound effect additions and improvements.
- Stronger reverb effects when under bridges and overpasses.
- (Optional) Reefer / refrigerated trailer sound functionality.
- (Optional - ATS only) Cop scouting reports via CB radio (enable in voice navigation options).
- Fixes for World Ambient sound glitches from the vanilla game.

For further immersion, the mod may also include official paint colors and more authentic specifications for each AI traffic vehicle it modifies for sound. Rarer paint colors are less likely to be seen.

@HU1212ICAN3 - Which sounds came back that you were missing? Maybe I will add them.

This mod does not "interfere" with all the sounds in the game. It only modifies the sounds needed for its features, so you can't have possibly lost "all the sounds". Nice try with the "all the sounds came back part"

Its hilarious that i uninstalled this mod alone, with NO other sound mods or weather mods or anything, and all the sounds came back. So nice try with the "Not my mod" part.
Was pretty shocked at how much i had been missing.

@Strelok - It was a bizarre comment indeed

Is it just me or option to simply ignore things that we don't like is not a option anymore? Apparently HU1212ICAN3 loosed this right. Worse, he thinks his opinion about the mod is really important to the point of getting in the way of comments related to the mod. Imagine this guy's ego irl.... Imagine being the father, son or wife of someone like that. Anyway, just a rant.

@HU1212ICAN3 - The featured video showcase proves your point is false, because there is very clearly tire noise among other featured sounds that can be heard there. Why should I take the mod down because you don't want to adjust the audio settings to your preferences? The recommended audio settings image is there for a reason
HU1212ICAN3 May 16 @ 11:06pm
WOW. So, i just disabled this trying to figure something out, and holey shit is this mod trash. I just now realized i don't think in the years I've played this that I've EVER hear the tire noise until now. Also reverse beepers....its like I've played this with earmuffs on and everything has been grey-tone until I disabled this. Please, for the love of god, take this trash heap down. It very clearly makes the audio much worse.

Maintenance update has concluded with full compatibility for ETS2 1.50.1.

For players staying with 1.49 for a while, the Mod Manager should still display Sound Fixes Pack v24.09. Please let me know if that isn't the case.
Drive Safely  [author] May 13 @ 10:30pm
⚠️ Incoming maintenance update ahead!

Steam Workshop users: For those staying on ETS2 1.49 when the 1.50 update arrives, please keep a copy of Sound Fixes Pack v24.09 just in case something goes wrong with the .zip format for 1.49 when I set the mod to the new optimized format for 1.50.

Let me know if it doesn't load so I can revert the update if necessary.

@Pig Mac - Thanks, I'm moving the mod to a new format in the next update so I wonder if that will alleviate any cutoffs. I still haven't been able to reproduce the cutoffs/stuttering with the rain.
Pig Mac May 13 @ 3:10pm
Seems to be some odd mod conflict.

Just had it on plain stereo sound and I added the sound mod on top (as always when testing) and bought a random SCS Scania NG R? (whatever the name) that I had no extras for at all.. and since all the default SCS interior engine sounds are way too high, it felt fully balanced.

I then tried adding Jaspers improved (Michelin) tires on it and set TCS and ABS off in heavy rain.. and it still sounded just like it should, no cutoff or stuttering or any missing sounds when skidding around.
Jumping into any truck with any externally bought/added sound mod still had the cutoffs, even as the rain weren't as deafeningly loud.

Too high 'polling rate' for the exact RPM's on the other sounds to handle the rain?

Heck knows, it sounds fine in a random Scania with default driveline (and sounds) at least.
Drive Safely  [author] May 13 @ 2:09pm
@Pig Mac - Thanks for the observations. I will be doing more testing in rain to see if anything changed
