If I could rate this game "...Eh?" I would. Fallout 4 is definitely a mixed bag, not exactly for those looking for a deep narrative experience like 1, 2 and New Vegas did. HOWEVER. Fallout 4 does have something above New Vegas in one aspect and one aspect alone: The gameplay.

The gameplay in Fallout 4 is the best it has ever been. Hundreds, if not thousands of different unique weapons for you to modify, customize, and make yours in your conquest of the Commonwealth. Plasma Throwers, Gamma Guns, Combat Rifles, Double-Barreled Shotguns and more turn the gunplay of Fallout 4 from a tool you need to use to survive to the bread and butter of the entire game.

Sadly, this comes at the cost of writing and the unique ways to resolve missions that Fallout New Vegas had. Really, the most creative any quest gets is Diamond City Blues, and even then it isn't by much because you only go to that mission to get all the Psychojet and Buffout you could possibly need.

All in all, it's a great time if all you're looking for is dumb, mindless fun. Otherwise... Just get New Vegas instead. It's cheaper anyways.

nothing quite compares to huffing a hell of a lot of Psycho, Jet and Turbo before running into Ceasar's tent and killing everyone there.

10/10, makes me wish for a nuclear winter

Before Skullgirls, I got beaten up by a toddler in Street Fighter 2.
After Skullgirls, I still get beaten up by that same toddler in Street Fighter 2, but not as much.
11/10 would get beaten up by a toddler again.

You play as a dimension-swapping, flying, manly Mexican Luchador that can transform into a chicken at will.

11/10.

Update: The game is fine. It used to be my favorite, now it just isn't anymore. The game's still pretty good, sequel's infinitely better. The old review is below, with a slight tweak to be up-to-date.

Freedom Planet, The Game Sonic Fans Need And Deserve
Shame that this game will be perpetually labelled as a Sonic fan game. It isn't, by the way. Freedom Planet is an entirely different beast altogether. Think what Shovel Knight is doing for the NES, and change the system to the Sega Genesis with some hints of PS1. The gameplay was nice, the graphics are GORGEOUS, the music is rockin', and the plot is somewhat enjoyable at best, with the heroes actually taken seriously, and the villains being over the top and almost cartoony, in a way. My only complaint is the VAs, and even then I felt effort from the actors. I hope Galaxy Trail makes more of this, keeps up the Freedom Planet train, and maybe, juuuuuuust maybe, get a sequel out of it. Yes, I think that this game is one that DESERVES a sequel, unlike FNAF. Freedom Planet is just that good. It is a cool $15.00, and you can likely get is for $7.50 during the Steam Sales.
Reasons why you should get this game
  • Great graphics
  • Detailed sprite artwork
  • Amazing gameplay
  • Memorable characters
  • Spectacular level design
  • ONE WOMAN DEVELOPED THIS AMAZING GAME. Think about it.
Reasons why you should NOT get this game (and they are very nitpicky)
  • I found a glitch in the game, where a fire tank in Final Dreadnought 1 clipped through the ground
  • It looks like a sanic game
