Definitely better with friends. I recommend learning callouts if you want to keep them!

Early Access Review
I like swimming. I like whales. I like the sea.

If I see a game a game that is one of the above and has potential, then it is a yes in my book.

Deus Ex Human Revolution is brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. The freedom of choice is empowering. At the beginning you have two options - stealth or loud, but those only affect gameplay. The real choice comes with interacting with NPCs. You can either be a cybernetic c*%t or a angel sent down from heaven (or in this case, fell).

Two main issues!

- Awful Square Enix servers (That you MUST stay connected to in order to play the game normally e.g. unlocked entry points etc).

- Bad optimisation: My GTX 970 can't run this at a fluent 60 fps and DX12 causes the game to stutter and occassionally crash.

I had to tinker with the settings to make it run at a stable 45 -60 fps on my GTX 970.
The instinct lowers my fps when I use it (Must be a tradeoff).

I'm pondering whether the episodic release model will work - It forces us to learn each map I guess.

However - The biggest issue is the rubbish online mode.
The servers are unreliable and choppy and when you aren't online.
You also can't access unlocked entry points and gear for the Paris map if you are offline.

I really want this game to work as the developers intended - the base game is fun and has loads of potential but SE need to get their act together and fix their servers and optimise the game before Agent 47 gets to Sapienza.

I'm playing MGS V in the meantime however..

If you would enjoy replicating the experience of building a criminal enterprise, localised entirely on an island, facing all the riguours one might expect from this endeavour, then this is your game.

This includes being blown up continuously by rivals (uncannily reminiscent of your own company), being stitched back together, generally living through the daily grind.

This would be an interesting game for either staticians or economists, had they nothing to do at the time.

The story mode is excellent and well worth experiencing, but the online mode (as with most things) leaves some things to be desired.
