In response to the latest update that is announced, I can no longer recommend VRC.

I won't say over what everyone else has already put out in concerns and rightfully so - I am not as good a source anyway.

However - I can only share the deep frustration created by the unwillingness of the developers to actually hear their community out and allow them to do the best for VRC by their own means.

This game is hands down my absolute favorite of 2020 already.
Ori and the will of the wisps takes what made Ori and the blind forest a great game and expands on those features. Movement feels fast paced and fun as ever (albeit I think could be less snappy in some instances - you'll notice).
Spirit trials add for a reason to actually learn how to move quickly with all the tools at your disposal because you want that bonus spirit light and the sweet completion percentages.

Combat isn't anything revolutionary , especially not in a metroidvania game but it's more challenging than in the first game. I'd rather sometimes some attacks were more clearly telegraphed and / or less "bright" in e ffects so you can easier read and act accordingly but overall I never felt annoyed about enemies. Just gotta learn those patterns!

The game is a must buy for lovers of the first game of the series and a high recommendation to anyone new to the franchise. You know a game is good when it manages to give you teary eyes not even 10 minutes in.

10/10 most wholesome game I've ever played, pretty much.
Friendly community, ton of fun for just a quick game on the side or even a hecking evening full of jumping around, throwing and praising banans and battling for being the last ball of fur standing.

Pretty enjoyable Battle Royal title that doesn't rely on awful game/gunplay and doesn'T suffer all too many bugs and problems even though still being in Early Access. There's a few things that really need fixing (borderless window mode not working as inteded, clipping your view into rocks and being able to see through them) but those aside, I had a blast playing the game so far. Bought season pass 1 and the second one too already. I'd really recommend it to newcomers to battle royale because the different movement gadgets really add a twist to the way you get around the map.

10/10 Grapple Hook is the only argument you need. SIE SIND DAS ESSEN UND WIR SIND DIE JÄGER

Let me actually elaborate on my previous point in this review and double down :

The matchmaking system is in a pretty bad state for players (and newer players especially) because of the extreme compression that has been applied to battle ratings. Premium vehicles dominate on every tier pretty much because you will find at least one that is overpowered for it's BR.

Grinding this game without premium active on your account will almost certainly leave you without any Silver Lions to spend on mid-tier to top tier vehicles. Every death costs you so much more than you can reasonably make in a day lest' you devote your entire career to War Thunder.

Even WITH premium people can be at losses and that tells a lot - together with the fact that the publisher would rather gaslight their playerbase instead of taking the very valid criticism and the desperate cries to heart (and yes - just posting a "We're sorry" blog post is NOT any sign of betterment let alone owing up to your mistakes. Gaijin is quite literally pretending to care.)

Please update the minimum requirements. If anyone playing PUBG is running on them, they'll lose 90% of their games due to the game not having loaded any buildings or items even and thus having you unable to do anything but get killed.

Should you buy this game? If you like a game that puts a challenge to more than just your APM and is made with a lot of love that you'll sense while just playing the SP in peace - Yes. Do so.

(edit as of late 2018 ) This game really deserves more love.The better you get at it and the more hours you put into it it just keeps getting better and the community around it is one of the most dedicated , respecting and fun to be in I ever had! Cmon - give this piece some love and bolster the ranks of players on the ladder!
