Portal spawning issue
I've noticed when a portal spawns units and objects in they're slightly off and not performing actions that they should be. Any way to fix this. Just short of coding it all myself lol.

Hey, sorry for the late reply. If the spawned units are not exactly where you want them to be, select "use exact positioning" from the portal special setting. Otherwise AB will attempt to avoid spawning units too close to each other, so that vehicles don't crush infantry etc.

They should do the actions you assign to them. Synchronize Actionbuilder Waypoint and units to the same Actionbuilder Portal.

Still having problems with props and units that are suppose to be doing animations and sometimes the units themselves. They spawn in slightly off and that causes them to not be in the right positions and look funny/hurt themselves by falling/just being wrong.

What do you mean by doing animations? The spawned units are not the same units as placed in the editor, they are clones of those units, which means that initialization scripts and variable names won't be saved.

And with slightly off, do you mean like inches/feets? You should be able to put stuff on desks, for example. The key is to set portals to use editor placement for the units and enable exact places setting.

In the example mission (see the workshop description) there's a car set top of another car with this setup.

Distance can be inches to feet off from positioning even with those settings. The more items and portals you link together the more unstable it becomes in this aspect. I can't spawn a map on a table or troops in tower. Sometimes a trigger won't activate when specificed paramiters are achieved.

The things you mention are surely achievable with AB. Could you send a pic of the editor setup (with the synchronizations visible)? Can you replicate this behaviour even with just a few items?

Arma does have some logic for avoiding colliding items, but stuff like units in towers should not be a problem as I've done it countless of times before.

Give me a day or two. Christmas and all that. I'll recreate it tonight and have it trigger and send pictures of the Mission with problems. Some items and units spawn fine. Others get spawned way out of wack. Its also not consistent which items are messed up and which aren't.
