Description

You arrive on the shores of Altis. Your boat is almost out of gas. You are almost out of supplies. 98% of the world's population has been killed or has turned into zombies. The apocalypse is here. You must struggle to find refuge, gear, food and water. There are roaming, hunting bandits who will kill you for everything they can take from you. Your only objective is to stay alive.

The entire idea behind this sandbox is to give new players who own Arma 3 a chance to play in a "DayZ" style environment without having to own DLC, join a server or download a ton of mods.

Features:
  • Random weather system to give you a different experience each time you play
  • Ravage post apocalyptic color scheme
  • Find and fix vehicles using a "toolkit" and the proper supplies (tires, etc)
  • Place tents and store loot
  • Make a campfire by collecting paper items (double click in inventory) and using matches
  • Kill animals and gut them with a knife and cook the food on the fire
  • Double click on chemlights to attach them to your shoulder for extra light
  • Full group system - push "U" to access group menu
  • Ear plugs script added - push "END" to enable or disable
  • Push "5" to Holster your weapon

HOW TO PLAY
  • Do NOT use the editor or singeplayer scenario to play this. Follow the exact steps below for all mission elements to work! This is not designed for a server. It's for CO-OP hosted solo or with friends.
  • From the main menu select MULTIPLAYER
  • Select QUICK PLAY
  • Select the HOST SERVER tab
  • Name your server
  • Choose LAN for singleplayer
  • Choose Internet to play with friends
  • You may need to check the UPNP tab
  • Select Altis map on the left
  • Pick DayZ on Altis as the mission to play
  • This mission uses whatever default difficulty settings you have set for Arma 3, so if it's too hard, you can set your own game options and skill level for the AI. This is entirely something you can control. Go to game options before playing. Try setting AI Skill 0.40 and Precision to 0.10.

This is a randomized, open world survival sandbox. You must maintain health, food and water levels to survive. You can play this however you want, with 1-10 players. There is no end game other than to survive. You can save your character for continued action with friends. The world will persist until you decide to "restart" the mission.

OPTIONAL COMPATIBLE MODS

Be warned. The more mods you run, the less likely the mission will operate properly and even less likely you'll experience long term stability. Too many mods = broken missions!

This is not a mod, it's a mission. There are no traders on the map currently but I plan to add this in a future update. This is not designed to run on a dedicated server. If you play this, all your gear and player position will save for the next session, but since this is a mission it has no database.

You can literally make this as easy as you want it to be. You can even set it so that the AI will show on your map or GPS. Just go through the Arma 3 game options. It's extremely easy to change or tweak the settings.

If that's too easy you can gradually turn them up. It's entirely up to you how you set your own difficulty options.

Hi Division. Thank you for playing this. I know that there are AI who fly helicopters that I put in this. However I have not updated or worked on this for almost a year. I do believe there is a helicopter or two on the map but you'll have to do some exploring. I will not reveal this info, etc.

Dale, the zombie counts are set for optimization. That's why your frames are higher in this mission than most that you play. You will get more zombies in cities and military bases.
