@tofohan barbecue Seems to have been an issue with the slipping logic, should be fixed now

hidden headdiff on, no slippery ice headdiff.
Dude walked outside 10 seconds after this and slipped, and the headdiff came up.
Despite not being enabled in settings on pawns at all.

If it works fine for you, then it must be a mod conflict on my end.

The hediff removes itself auto, when the pawn is no longer on ice no?
Are you talking about the visible headiff that says something along the lines of "slippery ice (regaining balance)" ? if so no,
since most of them get it removed when they spend time inside my ice bunker (which is 99 percent of the time).

It does however get re-applied despite my settings, upon re-entering the ice again despite my mod settings. Maybe its a mod conflict issue.

If no, and its a different- invisible headiff, then no i have not.

@tofohan barbecue Well, the slipping is a hediff on each pawn. Did you remove that after disabling it to be reapplied in the settings?
footman Jun 1 @ 7:14am
i just wanted it for them not to slip every five meters and lose their guns i just equipped them with, but then that didnt fix the problem so i disabled pawn slipping at all in mod settings.

didnt do anything either, even post restart, reload etc.
clearly broken mod options, albeit the mod itself at its core works still. maybe too well.
footman Jun 1 @ 7:13am
mod options doesent work for it,
ive disabled pawn option and they still slip constantly on the ice.
so i have to disable the mod.

be aware for all downloading

Added an option to turn off pawns falling over

This is top of my head but i believe being under 16-20% movement also downs a pawn
mayonnaise Sep 9, 2024 @ 9:30am
i dont think they necessarily NEED to get downed for the mod to serve it's intended purpose; realistically slipping around on ice would just make you move slower instead of knocking you out :gorlak:
Mlie  [author] Sep 9, 2024 @ 9:27am
@5katz Trouble is that they do not get downed without lowered conciousness
5katz Sep 9, 2024 @ 9:19am
+1 for making the modifier change movement instead of conciousness
Cr0ssley Sep 1, 2024 @ 10:21am
@mayonnaise exactly, plus I think that still allows a pawn to crawl since manipulation isn't affected
mayonnaise Aug 29, 2024 @ 4:54pm
i feel like changing the consciousness multiplier to a moving one would be a much more effective way to implement this mechanic. that's just my opinion, though. this mod is a really cool idea but with the way it's balanced currently it's just not for me. love your mods regardless, all of them are bangers! :beeped:
Mlie  [author] Aug 29, 2024 @ 10:37am
@Frank Glass I would but it does not seem to be a way to trigger that without pawns actually getting injuries
Frank Glass Aug 29, 2024 @ 2:33am
can you make it so that they crawl over the ice?
shob Aug 28, 2024 @ 3:05pm
we've NEVER been this back sea-ice bros
TurtleShroom Aug 27, 2024 @ 12:39pm
Thank you!
Mlie  [author] Aug 26, 2024 @ 9:52pm
@TurtleShroom All the current supported mods are implemented using modextension so I suggest looking at one of the included patches as a template
TurtleShroom Aug 26, 2024 @ 1:33pm
How do I use the Mod Extension, and what do I input in order to make it slippery?
TurtleShroom Aug 26, 2024 @ 1:32pm
That is fantastic! Thank you very much!
Mlie  [author] Aug 26, 2024 @ 11:26am
@TurtleShroom Ive added support for modextensions now so to add a terrains as slippery you can just patch in a mod-extension for it. All supported mods are now patched in that way instead of being defined in the code.

hahHAHAHA, that is beautiful
Mlie  [author] Aug 26, 2024 @ 5:20am
@TeH_Dav I had a plan to add skating as a joy-activity, but I didnt have time to add it. Ill work on it some more later
TeH_Dav Aug 26, 2024 @ 5:09am
It would be cool to add Ice Skates with this mod. :D
TurtleShroom Aug 25, 2024 @ 4:27pm
If you have a type of terrain that you want to count as ice, how would you go about adding it?
