Love the mod but could we at least get the option to buy .30 cals for US paratroopers?

Turn the graphics down - last resort!!!

Just think memory memory memory - that’s the issue. There is also some trick to disabling start movies & the animations behind the start screens… & the best one I found was not to have to many mods, skins & maps in your selection. Yes even that messes with the memory. This actually has a big impact & I solved most of my issues with these last two. I made a collection so I just download & install the one I want to play, then unsubscribe. Unbelievable for a massive game like this… but here we still are!

The game has memory leaks… always has. Main things to do:
Not block paths so the AI does not shit itself.

Not increase the pop count via other mods. If you must, do not to it by anything more than 50%

Use intel, not AMD & Nvidia, when I bought another better computer & changed these things the game ran worse.

Try to not have all the races in the game at once - fight enemy of the same race - this really helps.

Be careful with maps, some people made maps use a number of graphic set themes… the game has to load the whole theme even if just one lamppost was used from it.

Sounds like something that is map specific if it was on start up. Sometime map makers go outside the lines & add units not realising how immersion breaking it is if you play a different race.

Good afternoon my dear Adler, thank you for your response.

Yesterday I went in and set up a 2v2, myself and 1 AI ally vs 2 opponent teams.

Just on the edge of my base area, when the game began there were three British units. Two ere, I believe Sappers and the third was a Red Beret Sergeant/Observer unit - it had the binoculars logo above the rank stripes. Upon closer examination I saw they did indeed have the British uniforms on. Is it possible the game is recognising preset available units incorrectly?

Ta for the love, I have bought this to COH3 also.

I have never experienced UK troops on the German side & didnt build it as such. You would need to share a bit more detail... as in which German side... & where are they coming from... as in what building.

Adler (Sir is it?) This set is absolutely sublime, it makes utilising the top tier maps (such as Orklord, Monolithic Bacon and xxCompanyofCowardsxx) a joy. I wanted, however to ask one question (no griticism) why do British troops appear in the field on the German side? Just curious.

The mod became out-of-whack when SEGA let the community “meta” guys start doing the updates. I suggest you vary the difficulty level until you find what works… there is a cost-damage-strength formulae I used to make it fair…but I am mindful that game fundamentals have been tweaked & outright butchered since then.

Finlandia Angriff was the last mod I built with later meta - so may be more balanced.

So now I played again, this time as the USA vs SS divisions.
I must say it's incredibly unbalanced.. 1 vs 1 against AI average has simply better units, that gain veterancy incredibly fast. They send SS-Fallschirmjaeger who are signicantly stronger than any of my american units. I clashed with my Airborne paratroopers, they got utterly decimiated... The SS falschirmjaeger barely lost 1% of their health..

Also the Oberkommando vehicules just seem better, they have all smoke grenades that immediately gets set off by AI as soon as I aim at them with my Anti tank guns..

Overall, the mod is a great concept to add some SS units but vastly creates major balancing issues..

I built the game I wanted to play with my mods, I never tried Spearhead.

Modding this became a lot harder with the 64bit version, & most of us stopped modding then. With COH3 now out I am trying to build the same flavour there, so do not expect to come back to COH2 again. But SS Angriff is growing into what it will be there on the COH3 workshop day by day.

I am a Spearhead I player and just tested your mod and am positively surprised by the amount of specialization for even "small things" like the Sdkfz.222 and things like how the 250s can go into defense mode. :steamthumbsup:
There is way too much I could admire about it (but there is no space in this small post).

I am right now just dreaming of a combination mod of SS-Angriffs Modularity and great Diversity and Spearheads punishing deadlines and the explosion dmg and such and such.

Will probably never happen.

Sorry, I am laughing at myself, I have an SS Angriff for HOI4.

So in answer to your question for this game: no, I don’t think I can make an all-in-one for this game. The skins & the maps & the running pack (this thing) all seem to need to be seperate - frustratingly. From memory I also did this do folk could use their own skins if desired, for maximum compatibility.

Ofc, get me right: I wouldn't ask for a AIO mod to start with, as I am totally aware of efforts to make mods. This wasn't what I meant, Sir. :)

I was rather asking if there was a collection that has the "required mods" collected as an All-in-one-collection to click on "subscribe all" for a quality of life thingy, bc it's a bit elaborate to track everything down manually.

I know I could just click continue, but I don't want this mod to not work properly if I miss adding a mod marked as "recommended" when clicking "subscribe".

(Just asking, not a big deal in general, thanks in advance for caring)

It was a massive job making these, so I had to do it a bite at a time. Paradox also update often, so I need to update often. If I make an all-in-one… I need to update that as well.

You can just click “continue” when it comes to the required components … STEAM don’t give me a ‘strongly recommended’ option.

So, thanks for the effort beforehand. Yet I have a question to ...

Is there a "All-in-one" mod collection for this? Like *all* the needed mods to actually play this one? Because right now, clicking on [subscribe] feels like getting an infinite amount pop-up followups, as any mod "additionally needed" needs on more and more additionally needed mods by itself again. This is like a subscribe-delta to eternity. ;)

Thank you, I know about this bios for multi-player and this spoils this for all other players. But by putting the pressure on the group I have a little hope that this can change. But on thig I learned after this update, I will block and update of COH I Steam from now on. So, a final update from you will make a huge different for many non multi-player.:steamthumbsup:

Yes, as you can see in my post a few below, they have focused on a around 1/4 of the players who multi-play, & have really destroyed the game for the 75% of us who comp-stomp. This has been going on for a few years now. I wish I had backed up the game & locked it before they handed it over to the 'Meta' obsessed. But you cant even play it without it needing to go online & update. If I had any belief that they would stop shitting on the larger player-base I would update it.

I modded this years ago, I can not quite remember. But I think it was under nations. A section that dealt with what the game nation starts with.

Yet oddly I play them fine, regularly, 6000 hours worth. As I have said, the mods worked much better before they added collision boxes for infantry units. Now they experience lag if you play over an hour. Turn the graphic settings down if you are having issues. Thousands play them with little trouble. When they stop 'fixing' the game I will remake them with some learnings from the years & adapt them to the final meta.

As many others have already said your mods are unplayable due to huge lag by the drop in fps and although you claim that the problem is the latest patch of the game, it really isn't. I have tried almost every other overall mod with the same exact map to test it and i didn't experienced the same lag and drop in fps with any of them so the problem is with your mods.

Initially I wanted to lave a lot of the vehicles & guns/weapons etc to be stock, so that there was some predictability to how they behaved. But the more they tweaked & nerfed things the more I wished I had set them back at the beginning. But this was a lot of work & doing that would have been a lot more. On the infantry... they are tiered, so their survivability stats go up with the better types... but I did want them to have the ability to be what ever you needed them to be... so of the 4 strengths of unit, you can make the AT or long range inf - what ever you need.

I like the light vehicle and medium tank changes a lot, the heavy tank changes are a bit weak, like king-Tiger turret rotation is too slow, tiger does too little damage and doesn't have heat. In addition, the infantry features are not very differentiated, it feels like every infantry is pretty much the same, I was playing the Advance Power mod at the same time, but the uniqueness of each Unit in Advance Power is better by comparison.

It is a good mod. I like it BUT my fps gets f*cked whatever I do. I tried playing in mario quality but it didn't help too. So if devs can work on optimization, this mod has a really good potential.

Understandable at the difficulty, though if the damage was that higher then vanilla, then it's possible this mod would shine as bright or possibly more then Spearhead.

I often try to do a whole game with just the 1st two HQs with OKW vs 3 expert AI for a challenge. I put a lot effort into the STuGs so they have lots of improvement options. Glad you enjoy it.

Smaller maps with around 10 capture points give less lag. My Adler Kanal 1 & 2 maps are the same map, but 2 has the capture points doubled. I get the lag issue on 2, but not on Adler Kanal 1... & they are identical maps except for the added points. I genuinely believe this is a path finding issue. With my Finlandia Angriff mod Finland can see all units in the mini map, which is why I can see AI units sit just out of LOS. That is why I think the two issues combine.

Yes, There are Framerate drops and it sometimes freezes for up to 15 seconds.
But apart from that i really enjoy this mod.

Was a bit annoyed by the comically short ranges in the vanilla game,
so the performance issues are a price i am willing to pay.

OKW with StuG´s was basically my CoH wet dream, now it´s how i spend the Lockdown.
I REALLY needed some distraction.

It does play a lot better with it. No crashes... but I still get frame rate drops late game if it is a map with choke points. It is the path finding that kills it. That & the extended sight range, as the computer magically knows what you can see & tries to avoid it. The whole game worked a lot better before they gave individual soldiers collision boxes... as that murders the path finding loads. Do let me know how it goes for you as I would like some more feed back beyond my own machines. Do check out Finlandia Angriff also, it is my favourite.

Fell in love with SS Angriff but would constantly get low frame rate errors till the game would no longer play. With a brand new gaming rig, it just didn't make sense. Tried disabling replay, lowered graphics settings, updated drivers...... Nothing worked. I probably should have read up on the mod cause I just saw that it needs COH2 64bit. So I just installed the COH 2 64bit beta....... Got my fingers crossed.
