Update: Jan 24 @ 4:00pm

Quick fix for B41 version's ZombieZoneDefinitions being the one from the B42 version, The amount of times I went into the B41 vers and made some changes thinking it was the B42 version is a little surreal
Shemagh scarves (hanging off the neck) spawn on survivor zombies now.
I'm going to try to actually get invested in a playthrough so I might not make any new updates in a few days, however:

Stuff done, will be uploaded later when I get done testing and screwing around with spawns:
M44 goggles in translucent and opaque variants. Should be an occasional spawn on military zombies with balaclavas. I'll see about having a helmet model with the goggles on top though
Fingerless Flyer Gloves (missing the trigger finger part of the glove, probably just going to be a texture variant though)
Flyer Glove Retexture: Still a long glove but doesn't go all the way up to the elbow anymore
Army Underlayer Shirt (not a replacement for the long-sleeve camo shirt but just a FG/OD variant of it with no pockets)
Military Hazmat zombies (in full OD NBC suits[www.wisconsinhistory.org])

Stuff I'm working on, some is in-game though:
Military Gas Mask with Chemical Hood (i'm using fragmotion to open the DirectX model files as opposed to most people using Blender and .sbx Model Files so getting the UV maps correct is troubling for me, the mesh is basically done though, I took the mesh of the military balaclava and modified it behind a gas mask)
HECU Shotgunner Zombies: Rare spawn that reference HECU shotgunners from Half-Life, just Urban Camo guys always with with balaclavas, goggles, and shotguns. Can spawn with rolled sleeves if Spongie's Open Jackets is enabled.
Patrol Caps: Leaving the files in-game but I won't have them spawn on Zomboids yet cause of Lillie's Militaria, and as I said before redundant mod items annoy me a bit in games
ASU overhaul: The legendary pickle-green ASUs are in the works. Also making tuckable ASU pants as well with Corcoran or Rothco black Airborne Dress Boots, expect new ASU zombies.

Update: Jan 24 @ 12:01am

A few clothing items from Lillie's mod spawns on woodland and instructor zombies if Lillie's Militaria is enabled.
Military survivor zombies added. Their equipment is a bit much, a lot of different stuff can spawn on them.
Fighting knives have a chance of spawning on most types of zombified soldiers, excluding the instructor type.
MP Brassards added to Military Police zombies.
No more camoflage t-shirts under the jackets - they have all been replaced by the olive/forest green Army t-shirts. Left the camo t-shirt spawn in for only the Ghillie zombie.
The long-sleeve camo shirts (not the jacket) still spawns in, I'm probably going to make a olive/forest green variant akin to "silks"/ECWS level 1.

Zombified Soldier Survivors, it's a long list:
These depict troops who survived the airborne variant of the Knox Infection but were turned later. They have equipment that paint the picture of the military remnants adapting to the situation at hand.
Won't lie these guys' setup are inspired a bit by the British soldiers at the end of 28 Days Later, where you have some Joes wearing whatever they want and others keep it more in regs.
Identifiable by their Shemaghs and Ammo/Shell Straps that are pretty common on them. Can possibly spawn with military armor in ALL of their limbs where it's available, such as forearms, shins, thighs, etc, and about a 60% chance to spawn with a PASGT vest
Can spawn in with all the types of Camo Paint (no skinned faces, rarely wears skull paint though), usually a military gas mask with no filter or military balaclava, along with their Shemaghs. Looks pretty cool.
Can spawn with desert boots, jungle boots, or normal black boots. Patterns of camo on their uniforms vary widely, but are all forest-themed. They're contending with other survivors that probably hate them (and vice-versa), so blending in is important.
Usually wears military gloves.
Can spawn with PASGT helmets instead of a Shemagh.
Sometimes spawns in with SCBAs or the SCBA tank - they may be immune to the airborne variant of the Knox Infection but they still may need to enter hazardous areas.
Rarely spawns with bone earrings or bone necklaces instead of the usual Dog Tags or Crucifix.
Rarely spawns with boonie hats (all camo variants except desert ones) or backwards Army caps instead of a Shemagh or PASGT helmet.
Rarely spawns with military poncho (hood down).
Still abides by proper grooming standards, even in the post-apocalypse. Also saves me from flashbacks in 2019 (somehow six years ago.) when there was no hair definition file in B41 unstable and I had to see soldiers in Fabian haircuts and full beards sticking out of their helmets and gas masks.
May be bandaged up in certain spots of the body.
They can spawn with some good 2H weapons like spears w/ fighting knifes, machetes, scrap swords, long spears with the metal head (the one that has a hard time breaking), maces, pipes with rail spikes in them, etc, as well as ranged weapons, not limited to military ones, like double-barreled shotguns.
They spawn with ankle holsters pretty commonly, and a pistol usually too.
They may also rarely spawn with the shoulder holster.
They spawn with Survivalist Zombies. If I'm being real I don't know where survivalist zombies spawn and I have about 2k hours in this game, I've seen survivalist zombies with generic zombies but never in a certain location. There is also an extremely rare (.0001% and it's competing with the other zombie types I added) chance they spawn instead of a generic zombie.

New items added from Lillie's mod:
Hot Weather Woodland Jacket and Woodland Field Jacket (M65)
After the normal jacket spawns in, there's a 25% chance the M65 jacket replaces it, and after that there's a 55% chance the Hot Weather Jacket replaces either one of them - it is summer after all when the game is supposed to start. Also the Hot Weathers were seen as more comfortable than the all-weather uniforms. We came full circle with the All-Weather OCPs and the IHWCU OCPs.

Next:
M44 Goggles
New texture for Flyer Gloves

Update: Jan 23 @ 6:24pm

Fix for alternate version missing face textures, calling 2 that didn't exist but added them now
Helmet spawns adjusted
Military survivor zombies added, see main page for details

Stuff done and ready for next update:
Lillie's clothing items added to the end of my zombies' clothing tables, this makes it:
1) Spawn in after other items could have spawned in
2) which means if Lillie's mod isn't enabled, the previous 100% chance item, say, a jacket, will still be there
3) and said missing items won't cause any issues, i.e. errors or naked zombies
4) no actual resources from Lillie's mod was put into my mod, and only references to their item IDs were made

What was added from their mod:
Patrol caps to instructor type zombies (35% chance to spawn)
M65 Field Jackets to all the woodland zombies (25% chance to spawn)
Hot Weather Jackets for woodland and desert zombies (55% chance to spawn, it is summer in vanilla settings... and I can't speak for the BDUs, but the IHWCU OCPs we have now are 5000% better than the all-weather/normal ones)

If you don't use their mod, I emphasize - everything will work normally, but a few errors might pop up when military zombies first load in. I recommend it though as I really don't like putting in redundant items in the game, especially with mods I use in my saves. For example:
I am done with a patrol cap model but if I use the vanilla texture pattern it will look out of place with their better textures,
but if I use their better textures instead in my model, I'd be stealing their content (if done without permission), and it'd look out of place with the vanilla textures. That's the impasse I'm at with some of this stuff.

Edit on the errors: I only get them when spawning in on the character creation screen and selecting the Army outfits. Don't seem to get them when zombies spawn in. Will continue testing before I upload tonight.

Update: Jan 23 @ 2:37pm

Military Poncho added, still need to make the icon for it. Texture needs work but it's basically 70% done. Just a woodland poncho/raincoat. Issued back in the PZ days.
Slightly better stats than normal poncho.
Military zone spawns adjusted: a little bit more urban zombies, a bit more woodland zombies, less desert and hazmat zombies
Alternate version updated to have the new gas mask textures
New poster images in the mod menu

Also a big one:
Loot spawns added to containers, after all these years...
I got rid of the base vanilla helmet spawns (set it to 0, at least for the woodland ones right now) so only the helmet from this mod should show up in containers. Need to keep testing and seeing if they pop up but so far I haven't found a vanilla helmet in military camps. Basically everything I added can show up in containers, especially the military ones. Mostly I find socks and military briefs in footlockers which seems pretty legit

Stuff that's extremely WIP that got uploaded, most of them accessible in debug mode:
Chemical hoods for gas masks, front of model is broken. Need to redo the model to have decent UV maps anyways
Second Skin hoods that go over the masks, same as above
Foreign military gas mask: Russian PMG mask, no way the vanilla model will look okay with a PMG mask but the texture is there. Will be redoing the whole model for it.
Foreign Military Helmet: Some sort of amalgam of a PASGT and SSH-60. Missing clothingitem but the model is there.

Stuff coming in next update:
Helmet spawns on zombies increased (6% still felt like too big of a chance to spawn without one, dropped down to 1 and 2%)
Military Survivor Zombies - military troops that survived the airborne variant but got infected later, spawns in with some wild stuff like forearm armor, shin armor, etc. Usually wears a gas mask with no filter or a balaclava and will spawn with forged melee weapons (ie hardened spears on their backs.), giving the idea that remnants of the military survived and adapted to the Knox Infection

Stuff I'm working on:
Lillie's Militaria spawning on zombies if the mod is enabled with no compatibility patch needed nor any issues without Lillie's militaria, cause having the m65 field jackets spawn in on zombies would be dope
Having weapons with suppressors spawn in on zombies' backs

Update: Jan 23 @ 1:04am

Completely redid the gas mask textures; traced parts of an M40 gas mask over the texture instead of doing it by hand and by reference, took a while to get it right but it looks 10x better imo
Forgot to change the textures in alternate version, will do that tomorrow.

Update: Jan 22 @ 11:40pm

3 Balaclava (male and female) model variants added - Under Nose (default), Over Nose, Under Mouth. Icons made for each one so no name change was done.
Icons for some tucked pants added, (T) designation removed, will see if I can make the Icons more distinguishable though
Filter drains now, do !!--NOT--!! use the vanilla filter removal on the military gas mask or it will delete the mask, will work on it later
Tucking and untucking for all pants complete, need to figure out how to keep it equipped on the player after it's done though. Currently it unequips. Will try and figure it out soon.
Jungle boot texture lightened. Still needs to be worked on.
Knee pads removed from spawn tables of Army Instructor zombies, looked weird
Localization tables for English added to ALL the recipes I made (ie it's not ContextMenu_Tuck, but rather "Tuck pants into boots", or "Pull Balaclava under Nose")

Update: Jan 22 @ 1:18pm

Military gas mask filter recipe working.
Let me know in the comments if there are issues, it took me a while to get the script working completely right. Uses standard gas mask filters.
The filter doesn't drain right now, still working on figuring that out. But it does provide sickness protection, same as normal gas mask.

Tucking/untucking recipe will be worked on soon. Will experiment to see if I can get Lillie's militaria equipment spawning in on zomboids without needing a compatibility patch nor needing to input files from their mod into my own, but I don't think it'll work. Regardless I'll see what happens.

Small texture edit on the gas mask. Sorry for changing it so much, I'm not very good at art, texturing, or meshing in general. I'm usually better at scripting/coding.

Stuff I'm working on:
Tucking/untucking
MP Brassards
MP bulletproof vest retexture
ESS Goggles, reskin of ski goggles. Opaque and transparent versions. Should have a chance to spawn on zombies with balaclavas. Think the HECU shotgunner from Half-Life.
Better jungle boots texture (shoe textures are a little rough in this game, getting it to even resemble a jungle boot was pretty hard)
Implementing zombified special forces, just going to be garrison uniforms for now. 5th SFG (over at Ft. Campbell, also in Kentucky) would probably be heavily involved in the whole scenario, before, during, and after.
Making the mil gasmask filter drainable

Stuff I'm done with and ready to upload:
Jungle boot retexture
Tucking pants recipe

Update: Jan 20 @ 5:11pm

Airborne berets added.
Actual unit patches used are:
2/508th PIR "2/Fury" Enlisted Beret
504th PIR Enlisted Beret (a virtual shout out to the joes in the smoke bomb hill barracks)
501st PIR "Geronimo" Officer Beret w/ 1st LT Rank

Spawns in quite commonly on Army Instructor zombie types. Like 65% chance to spawn.

Why is it so high?

There'd very likely be a metric fooqton of rotational QRF Airborne troops coming to Fort Knox to secure the Exclusion Zone. These guys represent:
1) The troops who got infected via the later airborne transmission and weren't in their kit at the time of turning
2) The rear echelon troops, likely sterile or decontaminated areas with no need to be in kit or MOPP, IE a military base or fumigated tent, that turned or got mauled in there then turned later
3) The initial infected in garrison duty uniform from a certain location along the highway to Rosewood.

Today Fort Knox is mostly holding onto Human Resources personnel and ROTC Cadre/Cadets, but back in the PZ days soldiers used to go through BCT there. Food for thought.

Gas mask texture messed with further. Thicker lenses and less void black lines.

Last update until this gas mask filter recipe is working.

Stats are the same as the normal vanilla beret.

Update: Jan 20 @ 12:28pm

Jungle boots added. 10% chance to spawn on all military zombies.
Tigerstripe camo tucked pants added, chance for Ghillie zombie to spawn with them on
Military Socks and Briefs added, spawns all the time on all military zombies.
Gasmask textures overhauled a bit, new opaque lens green rubber variant. Colors on the green one changed, black mask is now just a desaturated and slightly darkened green mask
Black military glove variant added
Green balaclava texture redone, male version of the mesh fixed so the nose part isn't off line. Balaclavas are now a rare spawn on Urban Zombies.
Tucked pant mesh (male) adjusted to look better and get rid of any clipping.
Several new skinned faces added. One is practically skeletal. If you're in debug mode have fun being a living, breathing skellington. I think it's type 7 in the clothing menu.
Desert and Olive Drab helmets with better stats added and spawn in on DCU and Military Police respectively
Secret Lab zone definitions added. It's very secret but if you know you know. Mostly Army Instructor zombies. Gets rid of female soldier spawns. Army General spawn added and other types as well.
Army Instructor zombies changed to resemble soldiers in garrison. 20% chance for a military gas mask (as if they donned it last minute), no chance for a vest, 10% chance for gloves. Spawns with pistols occasionally.
Mask filter recipe implemented but still mostly broken. Removing the filter will delete the mask and bring up errors. But if you kill a bunch of military zombies they're a good source of mask filters for the vanilla gas mask. If you're wondering why all this new stuff isn't in B41 it's because I don't want to break servers with stuff like this. But like B42 this is a WIP.
The military gas mask with filter should work now as a functioning gas mask. Just remember removing the filter destroys it right now
Armycamogreen and armycamodesert, and armyinstructor spawns added to the global spawn pool and as male only. The woodland/green ones have a decent chance to spawn in right now, like 1/4 that of a police officer.
The version with no skinned faces was formatted differently, instead of a different clothing.txt file, it now uses invisible textures of the skinned faces so it's just a simple copy-paste (excluding the textures) of the normal version

Stats:
Jungle Boots (Boots - Military, Lightweight)
1.1 Run Speed
Less defensive stats than normal military boots
Better water resistance, less wind resistance

Army Socks:
Same as heavy socks

Army Briefs:
Normal briefs but weigh slightly less

DCU and Olive Drab Helmets:
Same as the normal woodland helmet from this mod:
90% scratch/bite resistance
10% bullet resistance
no vision debuff
small discomfort modifier
can't fall off the head

NEXT UP:
Airborne Berets (2/Fury Enlisted, 504th PIR Enlisted, 501st Geronimo PIR Officer crests) - Already done
Airborne ASU pants

Update: Jan 19 @ 9:08pm

One holed Military Balaclava added - Black and Green variants. Has better defensive stats than the normal in-game balaclava, but is primarily to keep the face warm. Now? I guess it keeps chomboid blood from getting into your mouth...
Spawns on military police zombies regularly at the moment
All variants of tucked pants are added in and spawns in on military zombies. Still no tuck/untuck recipe yet as I'm still working on this filter recipe.
Model of the tucked pants adjusted slightly to look more even and avoid clipping while running/walking
Green gas mask texture brightened even further. Looks good in-game now.

Stuff I'm actively working on:
Urban Helmet cover & MP helmet texture - in the files
Military Socks & Briefs - DONE
Woodland Parka - in the files
Jungle Boots - DONE
This Mess of a Gas Mask Filter Recipe
Military Zombie that wears Tiger Camo - DONE
Patrol Caps - will spawn on army "instructor" zombies along with their berets. Since the Vietnam War the US Army has been on and off with berets being standard garrison headgear regardless of unit. A few years after UCP came out did most of the Army switch back to patrol caps, unless you're airborne, sfab, etc. I think during the PZ timeline the Army was on berets being standard garrison wear, PCs still used in the field however

Stuff I'm planning on adding in the near future:
Story/road events - I don't intend to add military vehicles but if it's possible to make random road checkpoints with sandbag bunkers and barbed wire I will work on it.
Foreign Military Zombies with the Red Dawn KMLK camo that's in the game - obviously I'm gonna have to give them their own gear set, probably a Sfera with PMG style gas mask, as well as parachute harnesses (How else will some Russian soldier be in 'Fallus Lake' Kentucky?). Super rare encounter.

Stuff ready to be pushed out in an update:
Tiger Camo Pants (tucked)
Balaclava mesh fix (aligns the nose part correctly)
Tucked pants mesh adjustments (further improvements, looks quite good now imo)
Jungle Boots
Military Boxers
Military Socks
Few more skinned face variants.
