Finally, the hair update. It always annoyed the hell out of me when I saw zombified soldiers walking around with giant beards and afros. I tried to mitigate it for a while with the consistent helmets and gas masks, but back when B41 was still in beta I couldn't modify several of the game files controlling the hair without getting it to crash. I found the hairoutfitdefinitions xml which controlled the hair styles for outfits recently and have created my own hairoutfitdefinition which adjusts all the military zombies (I may have forgot about ghillie zombies, I'll fix that in the next patch) to have military appropriate hairstyles. No facial hair, and either bald, crew cut, or short hair styles for both male and female zombies.

This also allows me to get rid of the 100% gas mask spawn rate. It's still quite high (about 80% of zombies will spawn in with them now) and will remain so, as the purpose of this mod was not just to make zombies have better gear, but also appear as they should during a virulent infection that they may likely have foreknowledge of, with the lore and transcripts also backing this up. Whenever NPCs are added, should the army be added at some point, they will also be changed if they aren't matching these zombies as well.

SMUI has also been updated as well.

New update for SMUI's version, Shark's zombies that are added in now have a moderate chance (most zombies have 50%, some have less, while helicopter event zombies have 90%) of appearing with M17 gas masks, without the NBC hood. If there are any new equipment changes they may not appear until I update the mod again.

Vanilla zombies no longer appear on military installations and are a lot harder to find in SMUI, so there was a lack of chemical PPE by the zombies on bases. This update now gives them the appearance in-line with lore/"realism", but still allowing some zombies to spawn in without masks, as not every soldier would be wearing one at time of infection

Shark has said that he will likely be adding in M40s at some point, I will probably replace the M17s with M40s for all the soldiers except for the Reservists (who appear with older OD M69 Flak Vests).

No changes have been made to the other versions.

10% of headgear would not spawn in the RBB version for army male soldiers, this was fixed as well.

Fixed a formatting issue in SMUI version which caused it to not work.

Fixed some headgear that was supposed to appear less from appearing so much. Previously it was a 50/50 spawn rate. It is now corrected for each version.

Boonie hats have a 10% chance to spawn in on RBB and the normal versions.

Patrol caps have a 30% chance to spawn in with the SMUI compatibility version.

Also fixed an error where 10% of the time headgear would not spawn. It Made sense because it's possible some soldiers would have their helmets removed by zombies (or they may not have had one on at the time of zombification) but didn't really like it because of the current hairstyles that spawn in for them.

Doesn't seem like there's a way to change their hairstyles without causing crashes unfortunately.

Added compatibility with Red's Bloused Boots. All zombies but ghillie zombies will spawn in with them bloused up looking proper. Also keeps your pants from getting wet. And bugs out. And if you get issued BDU pants two sizes too large you won't be dragging the bottom of them through mud.

Fixed helmet mount spawns for SMUI compatibility. DBDU zombies also spawn in properly w/ SMUI compatibility. The army instructor also may spawn in with more generic equipment, ie gas mask and pasgt helmet.

Shark's Military Uniform Improvements Compatibility added.

Values are based off this mod.

Gas masks (vanilla) have a 20% spawn rate, M17 gas masks have 80% spawn rate on generic military zombies.

90% chance to spawn with strapped (as opposed to unstrapped on the SMUI gas mask zombies) helmets, the other 10% patrol caps.

NBC gloves have 60% chance to spawn in.

Army instructors are the same as SMUI's instructors.

Ghillie suit zombies are unchanged, they still wear vanilla gas masks. Canister filter gas masks are MUCH better to shoot with from my experience. It's almost impossible to get a cheek weld and a proper sight picture (without canting the rifle a lot) with insertable cheek filters in a mask like the M17! In the future I will consider adding in the chance for them to spawn with normal BDU pants and ghillie top for more variation.

Later I will properly add in some of the DBDU zombies, for now the vanilla zombies are all woodland. DBDU zombies will still spawn in thanks to SMUI.
