This mission was tested by the CARMA[carma-a3.fr] community on a DEDICATED SERVER (obligatory). Ready to use, 100% functional !(english and french version)

Write the story of an American soldier sent to Takistan fight troops of religious radicals in this campaign ultra contemporary.

OPEX HIGHJUMP DAY 72 – AUGUST 19 2017

THE REGION OF GARMSAR

Today, a big operation looms on the horizon.

Special and Conventional Forces will have to work in synchronization to ensure mission success.

Indeed, general McGhill gave the green light to launch a decisive assault on the GARMSAR region.

The radicals hold two fortified cities there, among which GARMSAR, capital of the sector, containing 2 enemy bases (VICTOR and GARMSAR).

Overhanging the region, close to Mount AqTappa, the Islamic state has installed an antenna (code name = YANKEE), the only mean for them to establish communications between GARMSAR and the rest of the country.

Destroying its electric generator, will momentarily make this antenna unavailable.

That means no reinforcements would be sent during our offensive on the sector, so it's exactly what we are going to do.

Our conventional troops will deploy towards TEYMUR KALAY, and assume standby status under cover of the mountains, while getting ready for the assault of GARMARUD.

Meanwhile, Special forces will deploy North of YANKEE, and infiltrate to sabotage the antenna's electric generator.

As soon as all elements are in position, the order will be given for the destruction of the generator, and the assault to begin. Special forces will then, make junction with our conventional troops on GARMARUD.

Once the sector is cleared, our forces will redeploy to lead a final assault of GARMSAR and its hardened bases (VICTOR and GARMSAR).

Although its communications will be down, the Islamic State maintains a very strong presence in the region and still has important resources. The operation thus remains complicated...

Your mission is to secure the GARMSAR region, take control of its namesake and the town of GARMARUD following a special forces strike upon the ennemy communications relay.

  1. helicoptered insertion of Special Forces, North of YANKEE.

  2. Mechanized convoy push towards TEYMUR KALAY, then standby.

  3. Special Forces infiltrate YANKEE and proceed, on order, to the destruction of the electric generator.

  4. Assault on GARMARUD.

  5. Assault on VICTOR (enemy base).

  6. Assault on GARMSAR.







Deployment at FOB REVOLVER :
  • 1x M1A2 Abrams (TANK)
  • 1x M2A2 Bradley (IFV)
  • 2x M113 A3
  • 2x RG-33 (MRAP)
  • 1x M977A4 (with M2) Ammo truck + Arsenal
  • 1x M978A4 Fuel





The area is infested with radical Islamists, and their holdouts have been hardened. Extra caution is advised during movement phases, with emphasis on coordination between infantry and armored vehicles. Possibility of IED.

Strong resistance is to be expected from the enemy, he has sufficient resources to push back such an attack as ours, and thus we must be effective and hit him hard.

Watch out, there is a civilian presence in the area, you are hereby ordered to limit collateral damages!

INFORMATIONS

  1. In order to initiate the heliborne insertion, only VIPERE SQUAD LEADER has access to custom radio control ALPHA ; therefore, this slot has to be manned by a player.

  2. All DRIVER slots are considered as engineers, therefore they can repair vehicles using a toolkit.

  3. BLUFOR players and vehicles respawn (forced or not) occurs on FOB REVOLVER. Respawn is unadvisable as it will take time for the assets to redeploy.

  4. This mission was initially designed for 20+ players, you might have a more difficult experience while playing with a smaller force. Good luck !

  5. On a dedicated server, remember to set your viewing distance using the action menu SETTINGS (TAW_VD script).

  6. For enhanced immersion, custom music tracks will kick in during key moments of the mission; remember to activate musics in your audio settings for your enjoyment !

@Joints ALT no singleplayer, only COOP 4 to 42 players, I recommend minimum 15 players for this mission.

@Kovarex, you an arsenal at the beginin of the mission, at FOB REVOLVER, and you have a truck (Ammo + arsenal) at FOB REVOLVER !
