Description
[WotC] Shank Tank Class

Hi everyone! Have you ever wondered what it would be like to fight aliens with only
a knife and shield with no ballistic overwatch abilities? If so, then this class mod
may be for you. The Shank Tank is a front line defender who specializes in buckling
down for the squad or charging in to distract and engage the enemy. This valiant unit
is highly trained with a combat knife and ballistic shield. At Squaddie rank, the
Shank Tank starts with 4 ability trees with 4 ability perks to choose from at each
additional rank. The option for random perks is disabled which is why I chose to add
4 full ability trees.

Dependencies

The following mods and their required items are essential for all things to work as intended
so make sure to subscribe and download them all:

[WOTC] LW2 Secondary Weapons
WotC Ballistic Shields
Perk Pack - A Better Barracks (WOTC)
[WOTC] Extended Perk Pack
Mitzruti's Perk Pack
[WOTC] Community Promotion Screen

[Very important note] - I've created and tested this mod using ONLY Primary Secondaries
and never had an issue with it but I know some players prefer True Primary Secondaries [BETA]
so use at your own risk.

[Update - Incompatibility]
It's been called to my attention that True Primary Secondaries [BETA] is NOT working correctly
with this mod and will cause a glitch not allowing any Main Weapons to be equipped. Since
WotC Ballistic Shields calls for Primary Secondaries, I believe there's nothing I can change
in this mod to make it work with TPS. So, if you wish to continue using this mod, you'll need to
use PS instead of TPS. I apologize if this has caused any issues.

Is it intended for shields to gain an aim bonus and mobility bonus that basically cancels out the intended trade off for more protection?

Enabling this class makes it so that all classes who can use a shield have that effect, although I guess accommodating to other classes is outside the scope of this mod.

But perhaps you should make a note of that, as I didn't see it anywhere on the description.

The changes also carry over to shields used for sparks/mecs. I was wondering which mod cancelled out the mobility/aim bonus from shields and found out it was this one.

@Tahanok2 yea, when testing with just sword & shield, the class felt too overpowered in my opinion. But I left the sword in but disabled it in case someone really wants the option to run with sword and shield. And I also added the option to enable the secondary slot "empty" so they could run with just sword or knife only. I'm also not %100 sure that all the knife abilities work with sword which is another reason I chose not to enable it when I published it. And lastly, Shank is more of a knife term so I wanted to stay true to that. ;)

I notice in the config files that the primary swords are listed but disabled by default. Is there a particular reason, or just preference with the name of the class?

@GrimAtrament not really since I don't use RPGO but any modder is welcome to do so. You can already sort of make a knife/shield build in RPGO but the available perks would be different.
