Amalgamation: Tech Medic Tertiary Specialization

Description
This mod adds a brand new tertiary Amalgamation healing specialization. Think of it as a tertiary Corpsman, but with some grenadier and hacker DNA injected. (and with its own unique skills)

How does it play?
While fully capable of (and indeed quite good at) using medkits, the Tech Medic's flexibility doesn't end there. They can shoot a healing shot at any ally within 9 tiles, and, if rolled, get a free healing grenade that heals 5 tiles at once.

The healing shot deserves a bit more of an explanation: It follows weapon damage, so stronger weapons heal more. You start with one charge, but every carried medkit that was not granted by an ability gives you another shot. Finally, firing a Medishot does not use up the actual medkit, letting the Tech Medic squeeze out every last drop of healing.

Important info:
For those wondering... Medishot does in fact work with sniper rifle specs! Just beware the action cost and close required range. Boltcasters, primary sawed-offs and weapons that don't do direct damage, however, will not be able to use it -- that would just be silly.

Zelfana's Assorted Fixes and its config are recommended, but can be omitted if you do not mind Medishot not being able to see medkits in mod-added slots. (think the Pistol/Trinket slot, or the one from our Medical Specialist skill)

How balanced is it?
Balance should be pretty close to baseline, though there are some particularly spiky class combinations if you get lucky with the right ability rolls. (think: tons of medkits to pass around)

Special thanks:
  • h4ilst0rm and TePª for the original Amalgamation Classes mod.
  • Ketaros, for the excellent sprite pack from which this spec grabs its icon.
  • All the perk pack people. Wouldn't be able to do this without them.

Forgot to mention, but note that as of this update Zelfana's Assorted Fixes (and the config) are required as well. This fixes a few weird interactions with Medishot and inventory medkits, particularly those in odd slots. Also just really nice to have in general.

Pushed out another update! Changes the order of a few perks, finally kicks out Sadist in exchange for something that makes more sense thematically, and fixes a few small issues.

It's out! Only a few changes here (blocked Psizerker, added more weapon support and increased hack growths), I don't expect any breakage.

Heads up: Got a rarity pass for a bunch of my specs coming up at some point in the next week. The huge influx of new/changed specs over the past year or so has been great, but has also thrown a lot of older specs out of whack.

These changes are likely going to break some classes in ongoing campaigns, sorry! If you notice any characters that did lose their class, use my Console Helper's RandomizeClass command with one or more old specs, or (temporarily) remove the new exclusions in the matching spec's XComAmalgamation.ini file. (they'll be clearly marked as being new)

That's a base Amalgamation setting! Open the base mod's XComAmalgamation config, and enable "AllowAWC".

You can run the "RebuildSelectedSoldiersClass" console command from Additional Soldier Console Commands without any arguments to add these to an existing character. Note that this will also re-shuffle abilities for the character's specs.

Not exactly related to this spec, but how do you get XCOM / extra row abilities with Amalgam classes as shown in the image?
