Intro
This is the English Translation mod for Walk with the Dragon by Deer24. Initially created by Shock and now maintained mostly by Maal.

Compatibility

Multiplayer / Realm of Chaos / The Old World
This mod is not multiplayer compatible and is only meant to be used with the Immortal Empires maps. Use the script-light version with these mod/maps.

Immortal Empires Expanded
If enabled some events will affect Ihan/Korea.

Roar of the Jade Sea : Yin-Yin, the Sea Dragon
Replace Zhao Qi as the leader of the Eastern River Lords faction. Zhao Qi is still recruitable.
The Vampire Coast minor faction "Dead Flag Fleet" is replaced by the Jade Sea Pirates.

The Jade-Blooded Vampires: Curse of Nongchang
Dynasty of the Damned
OvN Lost Factions: Fimir
These mods take over different settlements from the Jiangshi Rebels minor faction. Walk with the Dragon will use the Curse of Nongchang's undeads in its events if that mod is active. Dynasty of the Damned has a small incompatibility, which can be ignored or fixed by moving the translation above it in your load order.

Legions of Nagash
Kalledria, Mortarch of Sorrow, takes one of the The Southern Provinces' settlements and is at war with them.

Cataph's Southern Realms (TEB)
Leonardo Catrazza of the East Ind Compagny control Shang-Yang.

SCM Marienburg
Egmond den Euwe of House Den Euwe control Fu-Chow.

Skaven Clans
Clan Grudge from Skaven Clans is renamed to Clan Yellow Wind and Rathan replaces the Yellow Wind Sage as leader (he can still be recruited). Clan Crooktail takes a settlement from the Imperial Warden.

Dragon General Fu Yuanshan:Faction Overhaul
Merges with the Imperial Warden faction. Some factional texts and unit names overlap. Fu Yuanshan's content/art take priority but both mod's mechanics are functional. Yi Qing is still recruitable.

Yeah, spawning legendary stuff can be weird. Even vanilla ones. There's is both the command Legend and Spawn IIRC. and adding the hero type before the hero key seems to help for Spawn (champion, wizard, spy, dignitary). You can find their type in unique_agents_tables.

Tho it's been a while, I find it easier to just change the mod's script to spawn the hero on turn 1 and use the console to complet the quest with teleport and stuff lol (for when I test the translation). Simpler for me.

oh, issue on my end mb. And as an update to my earlier question about spawning the lords, it seems to work. I haven't played long term yet, will give updates if issues arise. But they do spawn with the correct skill trees and quest list (items). Just that when they spawn they are given random names. The names in their stat window is fixed though, so its an easy rename fix from the army panel.

I forgot to change one unit that was renamed this week. Beside that my unit list is up to date.

It is missing 1 lord, 1 hero and 1 unit. Plus a bunch of gameplay tweak like the rework of the unit upgrades.

Whoever is doing that mod maintenance update it like only once per major DLC I think.

There's an event-less version (see this mod's description), but it doesn't play well with faction submod. Not sure if it'll crash, but you'll have duplicates lords and heroes.

i like this mod but i don't find most of the event fun. i really enjoy a more chaotic and less scripted event campaign but the faction being fully fledged is really cool. is there anyway to disables event while keeping the factions like this?

Open DEER24Cathay.pack
Check in the folder db/agent_subtypes_tables or unique_agents_tables

Tho spawning characters has always been weird and don't always work.

So this is a tiny bit of an irrelevant question, but I was thinking of starting a campaign and using console commands to confederate the vanilla LLs. The problem with doing that is I will miss out on the recruitable mod-added LLs. I can try testing to see if spawning them with console commands works, but is there somewhere I can find the lords and heroes' reference id (or whatever they're called)
