Description
Ave Romans!

I am pleased to announce

NOVA ROMA

A large range of mods, all merged together to create the experience we've all been waiting for. It is the update we never received and where our grand community has put years in to improving the game on all areas.

This is for you if you are looking for an update to your Grand or Augustus Campaign but still giving that original feeling. You will face fierce tribes, economic collapse, sweeping plagues, pirates, rebellions, diplomatic turmoil & civil wars. Prepare carefully and plan your way for conquest of the known world.

I recommend playing on Very-hard.

What does it do?
  • Grand Campaign on the larger map - More cities, new paths & routes!
  • Boosted major factions - Face the armies of Carthage, Macedon, Epirus, Parthia, Egypt & Gallic confederations!
  • Improved strategy - 4 TPY, increased research, build and recruitment turns!
  • Improved AI - Aggressive, empire creators, huge and many armies with veteran units!
  • Expanded World - Seasons, plagues, banditry, pirates, rebellions, wonders, cultures, aqueducts, cities!
  • Expanded Graphics - HD pictures, HD cities, golden emblems, unit cards, blank borders & increased trade!
  • Expanded Units - Full reskin, new historical unit additions, improved garrisons, corrected recruitments!
  • Expanded Battles - Correction of abilities, combat mechanics, highlights, camera & animations!
  • Expanded Diplomacy - New events & options in diplomacy!
  • ...and so much more!

How do I get it?!
Subscribe to this mod and the following that are listed! They are absolutely necessary to have but couldn't be merged in to this mod due to their size and complexity!
Set the following load order in your mod manager to assure correct behavior:

What else should I do?
With all mods above subscribed to and enabled, there are three more things! (Optional but highly recommended!)

Improve Loading Times
  • Copy all .PACK files of the subscribed mods from the workshop, usually found at:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\214950
  • Paste to the game's Data folder, usually found at:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Total War Rome II\data

Assure the blood mod works
  • Make sure you have Blood & Gore DLC
  • Download the following .PACK file
  • Place the downloaded file in the game's Data folder, usually found at:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Total War Rome II\data
  • Be sure to have the Terrain setting to atleast: Very High
  • Be sure to have the Mods settings set as: Checked(Active)

Enable 40 unit armies
  • Download EditSF[sourceforge.net]
  • Start a new grand campaign and save directly after the intro
  • Minimize the game and start EditSF
  • Click on File->Open and locate your new save file, usually at
    C:\Users\[NAME]\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Rome2\save_games
  • Click on the + icon: CAMPAIGN_SAVE_GAME -> COMPRESSED_DATA -> CAMPAIGN_ENV
  • Select CAMPAIGN_MODEL and change the 9th row from top (should have value 20) to 40
  • Click on File->Save
  • Wait until the texts changes from Red to Black. Then close EditSF
  • Open up your minimized game and load the save file!

This is amazing! Who has made this possible?!
I have put much time and dedication to test the mods, merge them together, tweak, balance and have it all work smoothly. But the actual mod work is not all mine! ALL GRATITUDE AND APPRECIATION GOES TO THE FOLLOWING AUTHORS FOR ALLOWING ME TO MAKE THIS FOR THE COMMUNITY

Now enjoy! Please like & comment!

@yenza Ah, makes sense, lol. I was getting my ass kicked—fighting two civil wars and a two-front war on top of that. I had to abandon Rome for 60 in-game years; that’s how bad it was. Thanks for letting me know.

@Never Forgotten : hehe, sounds you have stumbled upon War Weariness! If you have lot of wars and/or loosing battles then your people get upset and you get problems like unit replenishment. In the faction tab you can see the different effects that you faction has.

@Red Panda : No plans for new units at the moment. Focus is Nova Attila right now but there are one update for Nova Roma planned!

By any chance, does this mod interfere with unit replenishment? After passing around turn 100, my units no longer replenish. I’m using a few other mods alongside yours, but none of them seem to affect replenishment, which leads me to believe this mod might be the cause. Is this a glitch caused by the mod, or is it a feature I’m not aware of?

Nova Attila had more new units I think.

Do you plan to add even more units ?
Yenza  [author] Jun 23 @ 2:07pm
@Hawk : I think I have a similar to the first one! Need to verify tho!

like these 2 :D
