Beef's Small Shader Changes v1.5

Description
About
Changes to the knobs and dials that control shaders to make SE not suck. It looks like whoever at Keen worked on their shaders got fed up with having too many dials to turn, and so ended up just putting random values until it was "good enough".

This is an environment.sbc Mod. Since I have altered almost every single section, it overwrites everything in environment.sbc except the ship speed limit and the skybox texture. Running another "graphics tweak" or "lighting overhaul" mod at the same time, with higher priority, will break this mod and result in visual artifacts, poor lighting, or other unintended effects.
I also recommend you place this mod with higher priority than the skybox and/or speed limit mods you run, since it will not affect their function.

Compatibility and Details
V1.5 is still a draft, I am sharing to get feedback to incorporate into v2, which I'm currently in development of.

PLEASE READ:
Because the ambient lighting is basically gone, the interior of your bases will be a little bit darker. Place lights with large radii, and low to medium intensity, like you would IRL, and all will be well..

if you are in space, the sun is way brighter (as it is IRL) and it can result in the non-lit areas of your fancy room with windows being hard to see as your eyes adjust to the sunlight that's brighter than everything else. To combat this, you can put a lights with high intensity to fill the room out with light.

STRONGLY ADVISE to use with Real Skybox by g.wes - but will likely function with other skyboxes. At the very least, use something dark. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2223371685

If you are using a skybox and find it's too bright and there are compression artifacts, showing, please note that this mod is mostly incompatible with MorePPSettings plugin, as it forces the Skybox to have a brightness of 1.0 when its enabled. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2425805190

What it does
Changes:
- Alterations to reduce ambient lighting - you will need to use lights with large radius to light up your ship/station
- Lighting rebalance - those lights can get by with less brightness if you have a dark room, but if the sun is coming through the windows, you will need to up the intensity on those lights!
- Reduction of the "fake GI" effect - less weird screen effects
- Removed Chromatic Abberation - because I dislike it
- Removed Vignette - same as above
- Changes bloom from "High Quality" to "Low quality" - increase frame rate slightly at no discernible visual loss
- Replaced dirt texture to be transparent so that bloom has no weird artifacts
- Renormalized the Autoexposure (Eye Adaptation) settings. IF YOU STARE AT THE SUN, YOU EYES WILL DARKEN. Ruins making some overexposed sunset screenshots, but makes 99.9% of everything else look great
- Adjusted white point
- Reduced bloom in bright areas. You won't see bloom on control panels and LCD screens if they're in daylight.
- Decreased vibrance to compensate for better lighting
- Removed possibility for sepia filter (pee shine) to function
- Reworked the HBAO some monkey set so it doesn't suck
- Also reworked SSAO, will offer a second SSAO version of this mod once v2 is out
- Gave the object highlighter a neutral gray color and make it not blink so much
- Probably more I'm forgetting

Current Known Bugs (to fix)
- Rain particle effect can be dark against the water mod surface
- Some effect using exhaust pipes against water mod surface
- morePPSettings resets the skybox brightness
- Using a bright skybox makes surfaces have more ambient light, but particles do not receieve this light and appear outlined on it
- (not really a bug in this mod, but exposes an existing bug) the Damage_Mech2 smoke particle effect (used by doors for instance) looks like poo - it looks bad in vanilla as well, but this mod makes it more apparent.

The building in the photos is the SPHERIC Universal colony module Mk2 from Nekron910.

Shameless Personal Shilling:
I also work on shaders and visual effects for the community built standalone mod Stalker Anomaly. If you have never played, just google it up and check it out.

@ArenMook I last updated this mod in 2021, I imagine it's not working properly in 2024 anymore without going and upating it unfortunately haha

If you're in space and the sun is on screen, you literally can't see anything but blackness. This mod is utterly unusable.

This is amazing, but could you fix the way the shader changes the color of the ship, It illuminates everything making it look way brighter then it actually is.

If at night everything looks great, during the day it's too contrasty in the shade, literally nothing is visible.
but it's generally good for creating illustrations.

beef hasn't posted anything since a mere 5 days after this mod was delivered to the workshop. Pretty sure he's either dead or hasn't touched Space Engineers in 1.5 years.
