Sand and Stone 3.0.4

Sand and Stone introduces additional warm weather insulated build sets for players to explore their build imagination!

The initial 48 piece Tier 2 build set is named Murun, inspired by the Savage Wilds map's NPC city of Murun. Done in the Stygian build style seen in both Murun and Sepermeru. The build set offers three Foundation styles as well as two Windows and two Half-Walls. There are no Sloped Roof pieces as the Stygian style features flat roofs, often used for exterior living space as there is little rain or snow.

The Ardashir build set adds 80 new Tier 3 building pieces, inspired by the Savage Coast of Turan. The set includes multiple Foundation styles, Doors and Half-Walls. There are no Sloped Roof pieces however the Ardashir build set introduces Domed roofing!

Nothing built with this mod is being shown ingame, even after multiple reinstalls of it both my side and server side.

Hey all - sorry been communicating on discord with all the mayhem. Seems Funcom slipped in an undocumented feature with today's 3.0.5 patch which is causing problems for both servers and clients updating mods from Steam.

There is a lot of discussion flying around on potential workarounds. Some seem to work.

People can join my discord to run through what has been discussed so far. This is impacting not just m updated mods but apparently all mods that have updated since 3.0.5 released this morning.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi @ChinaR03, I suggest you join my discord so that you can post images of your safe house. Have you tried rebuilding the same structure with another build set to verify that players do not take sandstorm damage with other build sets?

Sandstorm should be based on shelter and shelter should be based on being enclosed by collision boxes from build pieces. Even within my build sets, windows are secured by collision boxes. You cannot 'pick' through them. So to a sandstorm, one of my window pieces should be treated like a wall.

I built a safehouse on noob river for people to start in, but it's not so safe as even inside the house that has no windows, people are getting sandstorm damage, it's not happening with other materials. could this be a bug you might check out, please.

Placeable Stability Loss

I have been made aware that with all the changes to collision on foundations and ceilings, placeables on those 'floors' may lose stability.

It is an unfortunate consequence of so many changes to collision boxes on those pieces to solve for players falling into gaps and walls poking up through ceilings and such.

There is little I can do at this point other than offer apologies. These changes were necessary due to changes in game that altered how characters interact with walking surfaces 3.0.

I'm building a jungle base and I wanted to have a grand tower to exert my warlord's influence over the soon to be reenslaved Lemurians only nothing but Insulated wood seemed to fit the aesthetics. This Ardashir stone will hopefully do the trick!

Thank you!

@Kaffeeteria, I am aware of the tripping hazard :-) something changed with base animation it seems that made player avatars to be far more sensitive to minor gaps between collision boxes which is why you slip through.

You can see the effect is base game by placing a base game foundation (elevated) and then slowly walk to the open edge and see how your character slips off and down but then sort of recovers and hangs on by a toe.

I am actively working to get this resolved. It isn't hard, just takes time.

@ksottam, crenelations have been requested. I had started concepting but then 3.0 derailed priorities :-) So crenelations are something I am thinking about but do not have slated yet.
