Zombies Civilian Rescue

Description
ABOUT:


You're retired from the army, holidaying in a small town with your friends. One day you wake up to find you’re in the middle of the Zombie Apocalypse. You must help the Civilian Townsfolk flee the town via helicopter. In the meantime, you need to stay alive by finding weapons, equipment, allies and building a bulwark to defend yourself against ever increasing hordes of Zombies!
Recruit the Civilian Townsfolk into your group and "rescue" them with an extraction chopper for points. Or recruit them into your militia to fight the Zombies. They can be armed/equipped with the radio commands "Arm Group Members", "Re-ammo Group Members" and "ReArm Group Members". They might panic though and run off. If a civilian dies, the whole team loses points.
Highly customisable via parameters. Want to just kill zombies, go ahead, turn civilians off.
Multi-player, excellent for one player, even better for more. Don't forget to rate.

Based on Dynamic Bulwarks: Zombies this is an enhanced version with many changes and additions.

There is now a new parameter to turn concussion ringing in the ears On or Off.

Hi AlphaGarg, thanks for the feedback.
1. The music and audio files are already compressed. They are included to raise the immersion level. The mission file can be downloaded prior to joining any sever by subscribing to this workshop item "Zombies Civilian Rescue". The same can be said of the required mods. Some of the mods are huge, but they can be downloaded before joining a sever and add to the immersion of the mission. Downloading the mission off a server just before playing the mission is slow, I acknowledge, but that is an artificial transfer speed limit that goes back to Operation Flashpoint (OFP) days and has never been updated or addressed, even though internet transfer speeds have vastly improved since then. And of course, the mission file only needs to be download once.
2. As for the ear ringing noise used for explosions, I take your point. I’ll work on making it a togglable parameter.

Cool mission, but holy SHIT the filesize is huge. I think you'd do well to compress those music and audio files as much as possible - downloading a third of a gigabyte off a server takes a long time, and the more players there are, the worse. I think 30mb, 50mb is probably the upper limit for this kind of thing. :steamthumbsup::WhiteWolfFunny:

I had to restart arma. That ended up fixing the problem. When clicking restart it would not take me to the role assignment screen. thank you for the response

Hi Chief Smackahoe, sounds like you are running a hosted server. To exit the running GB Dyn Bulwarks Z V10 mission I think you would have clicked on the "Save & Exit" button. That would take you back to the "Role Assignment" screen. If you click the OK button from the "Role Assignment" screen, you will restart the saved mission from where you previously were up to. This seems to be your problem. To fix it (hopefully), instead of clicking the OK button, click the BACK button. You will be returned to the "Create Game" screen. From here click the PLAY button, Click one of the "Roles for BLUFOR:" slots, then click the OK button. That should start you a new mission and you should be presented with the "Select how the bulwark location is determined" screen. Click "AUTO RANDOM" or "MANUAL PLACEMENT" to continue your "new" mission.

I read through the entire manual, tried hitting restart, i can't figure out how to delete my save and restart the scenario.

Hi interested parties, currently when I join my server and login as admin, I find 1. If I try to change some parameter settings, I can't, as if I'm not recognized as admin. 2. When I start the mission I'm not offered the opportunity to select the Bulwark location manually, as if I'm not recognized as admin. I then immediately disconnect from the server, then reconnect, login as admin and the above problems no longer occur. This started happening after I set autoSelectMission = true; in the server.cfg file. It may or may not be related to that. This seems to be an ARMA bug. So, if you are having trouble not being recognized as admin, try the above workaround.

Hi KDLFK and interested parties, I had an occurrence where I wasn't offered the opportunity to select the Bulwark location manually on mission start-up. I continued playing with the auto Bulwark location. Some time later I was kicked from the game, returned several times and was kicked again and again for various different reasons. I then proceeded to "Verify integrity of the game files..." for ARMA 3. After which I was able to return to the game and had no further problems. Later, I started a new mission and was offered the opportunity to select the Bulwark location manually on mission start-up. Of course I was logged in as Admin during all of the above. So, the lesson learnt is . . . Try Verifying your game files if you have trouble.
