Description
The High Capacity Metro Train (HCMT) electric multiple unit is the newest train in Metro Trains Melbourne's fleet. Constructed by Downer Rail and CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles, an order for 65 HCMT trains was announced in 2016, with construction beginning in 2018. After numerous delays, the HCMT finally entered service in December 2020 on the Pakenham line, and will eventually be introduced to the Cranbourne line, the Sunbury line (after Metro Tunnel opening in 2025) and the city's new Airport line (due for completion 2029).

This is a shorter 5-car version for vanilla platform lengths; the HCMT uses a 7-car configuration in real-life, which you can find here.

The mods listed under Required Items are optional. Additive Shader adds the headlights and rear lights as seen in the screenshots, as well as the front/side destination boards and glass headlight covers. The two Vehicle Effects mods add some realistic in-game sounds, including authentic HCMT arrival, departure, motor and horn sounds.

@Turtle Dragon @joshualuk0108 you can convert it to a metro yourself using the Train Converter mod .

Is it possible to make Metro Version?

@MunSka, probably not given that it's still a concept design and differences are quite minor. Maybe in another 8 years time when the line opens ;)

@GamingTRAIN, the Vicsig page lists set E011 as having entered service in December, but yeah it was more of a test run. I believe there's a couple of sets currently running on the Pakenham line most days.
