you can pressurize it to avoid beeing crushed by the depth and to be able to breathe but nothing more.
the water is basically just another layer of the atmosphere same as a planetary atmosphere and space are also just a diferent layer of atmosphere as far as i understand it.
though take this with a good grain of caution as iam just a moduser and have a very limited knowledge of what is going on there.
did you do it while you where on the planet you want the water on?
did you try higher values than 1? depending on the planets size and you position 1 can still be deep under ground or below crushdepth (atleast from my experience so far).
this is now on FP, algorithm must screwing up isn't it?
Note that I'm on a locally hosted dedicated server (the only user online) and I have a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet connection to the local server.
My solution is to basically get down to the ore vain, then park the ship and use a hand drill. Using the Build and Repair System my ship has to collect the ore automatically. Ideally I'd use the drill on the ship instead of my hand drill if desync wasn't an issue here.
