Battle of Tarawa - The Pacific

To all of you who are familiar with my previous missions; Thank you for your support and positive feedback.
This is my fifth WW2-themed scenario and the first one centred on the Pacific war.

A little warning: Its quite heavy on performance, mid/high end PC specs recommended.

THE MISSION [SP/COOP]:

Heavliy inspired by the miniseries "The Pacific".

This mission puts you in the shoes of a Marine at the dawn of the first American offensive in the criticial Pacific region.

Your objective is to land on Green Beach, Tarawa Atoll, and assault the island. Once you've taken the beach, move inland through the jungle and clear any Japanese defensive positions you encounter. Your main goal is to reach the airfield and eliminate all enemy oposition in the area.

Mission completion when you've reached a huge cannon and destroyed the Japanese fighter planes on the airfield, and then moved in to clear the area.

Expect heavy resistance. The Japanese will be well-supplied and well-prepared. This enemy will fight to the last man.
They will never surrender. Move with caution and keep your head down. Shoot on sight.
Stay close to your squad and scan your surroundings. Get off that beach, push through the jungle and assault that airfield.

If you are running out of men, move with caution and stay alive. Reinforcements will be coming in from behind.


The mission contains among other things:

- Intro and Outro scenes
- Tasks to guide you through the mission
- Scripted events; explosions, animations, music, sounds, voices etc.
- Custom made battlefield to slightly resemble the landings depicted in "The Pacific".
- Singleplayer scenario or Coop.
- You have about 50 playable units; If you die, switch to another character in death-screen.
