Description
T's Mods are no longer being maintained.
This mod is stable and "complete" for RimWorld 1.0 to 1.3. No further new features or fixes will be done. Anyone is welcome to take over; you can simply reupload to a new workshop page and work from there. If you want to use this existing workshop entry then just leave a comment here and I can add you as a contributor. Meanwhile, I've created a zip download containing various work-in-progress graphics and texture PSDs from across my mods - you can find it on the last post I made on the Ludeon forum thread, right here[ludeon.com].


About This Mod
Adds a wide selection of new flooring to decorate your colony with. Check the added "More floors" architect tab to enjoy:

● Six new styles of wooden flooring (plus straw floors for that barn feel in 1.2 and below)
● Twelve new styles of stone flooring in all five stone colours (for a total of 60 variations)
● Eight variations of multi-stone chequered floor in various
● Six new carpet colours - orange, yellow, turquoise, purple, black, and white
● New chequered style of carpeting in all colours
● New style of wool carpeting in all colours, requiring woven wool from the new loom workbench
● Two end-game floors for larger colonies built with plasteel and jade
● Compatible with several mods adding new stone and gem types

Note: The new types of stone flooring only become available to build once the Stonecutting research project has been completed, while the added carpets require Carpet Making (although the wool loom can be built without).

Restoring the Original Stone Floor Textures
As of the most recent version of MoreFloors for RimWorld 1.3, all of the stone flooring graphics were redrawn to be made more consistent with each other and with the vanilla RimWorld stone floors. The pre-1.3 graphics are still included with the mod and you can restore them by visiting:

<Your Steam Folder>/steamapps/workshop/content/294100/1543561093/Textures/Terrain/Surfaces/

You'll see an "Old stone textures" folder. Copy the contents of that into the Surfaces folder, overwriting anything when prompted. You'll need to do this every time an update is released for MoreFloors.

I would encourage you to change the names of some of these patterns, which have names.
• StoneRandom is called Versailles. "random" tiles means something very different.
• StoneMosaic is called Pinwheel or Hopscotch. A 'mosaic', in tile, is something different.
• StoneRough, although I have no issue with the name, this pattern is named Opus Incertum.
• finally, StoneDigital. neither descriptive nor prescriptive, it's retro-interpretive refering to a pattern that looks like a 7-segment display. I would like to propose naming it Erice, Erice Paving, or Erice Hex, as it's the earliest reference I can find of this style. 'Digital' means digits, or fingers. I understand the reference to a 7-segment display of a calculator, and that the words 'digit' and 'numeral' can be interchanged, however this is an interpretive association. Like calling a Telescope a 'sky barrel' while tele- means far and scope means to view. =)

Can confirm, <tags><li>FineFloor</li></tags> doesn't do anything. Also, changing granted beauty doesn't do anything either. This might just be a quirk of having them added from the workshop, I haven't tested manually adding anything in the mods folder.

Ya it seem to work for every terrain except for the wooden flooring XML file MoreFloorsTerrainsWood. I tested out on the stone flooring and the rest and it works. All well, worth the shot :)

@Sinz - I'm not sure why that wouldn't work. As long as you're pasting that into the def in a part that's outside of <statBases> and <costList>, you shouldn't have trouble. The safest and easiest place is probably right above the closing </TerrainDef> line of the floor you're trying to edit.

Also, make sure that you're editing the file inside the "1.1" folder, otherwise you're only changing files that are used by RimWorld 1.0.

Can i make FloorWoodMosaic as fine floor as well. I tried adding <tags><li>FineFloor</li></tags> to the XML file but no dice. :)

Open "MoreFloorsTerrainStone.xml" and scroll to around line 126 where the definition for "TFloorBaseStoneRandom" is. Paste this somewhere in the def (but not inside the statBases section):

Save and you should be set.

Which .xml do I have to spelunk to change a floor to "fine"? Loving the red random floors among other but they don't count as fine sadly
