Once you have the save protected via rolling back Alpha Biomes and saving in your forked branch, you now need Mid-Save-Saver (cont.). Add that in, reload the load order, open options, mod settings, Mid-Save-Saver, check the box for Hash Collisions. Load your rolled back and forked save, save it again, exit to main menu.
Remove the rollback Alpha Biomes. Add the workshop Alpha Biomes. Restart the load order. Load your save - check that it is intact.
~15 minutes testing - my save, that was broken by Hash Collision from the update, is working fine. The new things added are in, the save is in Gallatross Graveyard, the bones are converted, and deconstructing gives the new ancient bones, it appears to be all good.
If you have issues with the update, ---don't save---. If you save, the save is what it is.
Exit, grab the last version of AB from the git, extract, put in your rimworld mods folder in your steam folder for rimworld specifically. Not where the workshop mods go. Make sure you don't have nested/double folders. It shouldn't be Alpha Biomes - Alpha Biomes -> [Stuff]. Just one Alpha Biomes. Replace the workshop alpha biomes with the folder alpha biomes: load the new order.
Your save should be fine again. Fork it to be sure.
~15 min test, mine's working fine again. Nothing weird or wonky.
I'm trying to find a workaround to move the save from there, old version, to the new version. If I haven't commented it, I never found it.
