Turbo Overkill is the perfect amalgamation of Ultrakill, Amid evil, Ghostrunner, and of course Doom. This is not a bad thing either because what made Ultrakill so great was that it didn't just copy the usual retro shooter format of keeping the old clunky controls and mechanics with claustrophobic levels, but it actually managed to innovate the genre and make something new. Ultrakill wasn't without its problems though as to me it lacked an interesting art style and the world was kinda lacking in level design. Amid Evil on the other hand kept the old format but innovated everything else such as the level design and visuals. These two games mixed with the world, gameplay mechanics, and polished sick animations of Ghostrunner make a great combination of a game.
Some things to point out is that the performance is way worse on the demo and if you did play it, restart because you will miss the story. Also grammar is a bit weird some times but that can easily be fixed.

90% cheaper on mobile and bad solo

It's surprisingly relaxing, almost like speed running a game while listing to an audio book of the story that connects to the game in the form of bosses. Level design teaches you what you need to know and the story does not get in the way of the gameplay as it's told through constant dialog by great voice actors up until the end. Everything leading up to the final boss hypes you up until you hear the villain and it sounds like they have 5 different accents and the battle is quick and easy. Overall doom with katana.

HA HA HA AHAHAHAH HAAA AHAAHHH AAAAHH HA HA HA HA!

I can tell it's an awesome game but it's just unplayable on a gtx 1080. I get 100+ fps in empty areas but at places with 2 or more people it drops to 30 fps and starts having major stutters even after update 1 that said it fixed that. Guess i'll buy it next year if it runs. EDIT: After a hardware upgrade game still has very odd frame drops and cannot maintain a steady 70fps on gtx 1080 and ryzen treadripper. rip game
